Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention

Super value hotel for the price during off season. Its in a ski resort so the rooms are very modern and clean. Service was fantastic too!

The place is very big (4000 hectares!) and there are many amenities and activities despite it is already pre winter. We like especially the 3 onsens and the musical fountain that we can enjoy. The service is excellent.

The cable car to the summit of the nearest mountain was worthwhile, although overpriced. The layout of the resort is ridiculously confusing and entailed using two escalators and two elevators to get to our room, which seemed to be about half a mile from the parking lot. Our room did not have any way to control temperature, and was uncomfortably warm. We were advised not to open the windows because of insects at this time of year. There was a spare pillow, which was nice, but it had no pillow case.

Rusutsu was amazing for our ski trip.  There was a good variety of ski trails in 3 different mountains.  Ski rentals was next to the ski lockers and we could start skiing directly in front of the hotel.  No need to carry equipment a long way.   Dining was fabulous too.   For a fraction of the price in my home country, we enjoyed buffet breakfasts and dinners and Japanese hot pots.

This family-friendly resort welcomes everyone to enjoy its many wonderful features. You don’t have to be a skier to have a fantastic time here, even in summer. Kids and adults alike will love the exciting amusement park, relaxing swimming pool, and soothing onsen. The breakfast is truly delightful, offering a variety of fresh, high-quality options to start your day on a happy note. The convenience store just across from the main complex makes everything easy and hassle-free. Plus, its excellent location is a real bonus—only a 30-minute drive to Lake Toya, where you can enjoy the stunning lakeside fireworks in the evening, making your stay even more memorable.

We stayed at Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention and we were truly impressed. We came for skiing, and the location is perfect — just step out of the hotel and you’re right at the ski slopes. So convenient .⛷️❄️ The room was spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The snowy view from the window made the whole experience even more special. After a full day of skiing, relaxing in the onsen was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect way to unwind and recharge. ♨️✨ The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and memorable stay. Definitely a place we would love to come back to again.❤️Bkk Thailand ❤️

It gives a very 80s vibe that wasn't very appealing. Will definitely not come back.
