Hirosaki Park Hotel

The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful. When I stayed in the room until after noon [I was staying for multiple nights], fresh towels were hung on my doorknob.

It was great to be able to watch the Nebuta Festival from the hotel window! Breakfast was served in a restaurant with a nice view, and the food was delicious too! However, I was disappointed with the receptionist's attitude when I called about parking before check-in. The explanation was unclear, and it was the most unhelpful service I've ever experienced, which was quite a surprise.

This hotel is located near Chuo Hirosaki Station, but it's not particularly close to either Hirosaki Station or Hirosaki Park; both are a 15 to 20-minute walk away. The hotel's Japanese name is Hirosaki Park Hotate, which was mistranslated from Japanese to English and then to Chinese on Ctrip, leading to some confusion 😅. Getting back to the hotel itself, it has an old-money vibe. The front desk is on the third floor, and you have to take two escalators up upon entering, which always feels like an 'ascension' every time I return. The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom with its three-piece suite was tiny, and the bathtub was minuscule. One pleasant surprise was the unbeatable view of Mount Iwaki from the higher floors.
