Grand Hotel Fujika

The parking lot is free and spacious, the front desk staff are friendly, and the rooms are nice. There's just one thing to be aware of when going to the annex: make sure you carefully examine the map provided. Otherwise, you won't be allowed into your room.

The hotel boasts a prime location, offering comfort and convenience. It's close to the train station, just a few hundred meters away, and surrounded by excellent amenities and a wide variety of dining options. The tranquil and peaceful city center makes it an ideal place for a relaxing vacation.

I was given a room in the main building instead of the new building. I had heard various problems with the facilities in the main building, so I was hoping to be given a room in the new building for this price, but that wasn't the case. When I showed the front desk a printout of my reservation email and complained, they dismissed my concerns, saying it was only natural to be given a room in the main building for this price. I figured that arguing would only result in the website being solely to blame, and I didn't want to waste energy on something like this during my trip, so I gave in easily. Looking back now, I can't accept the front desk's assertive attitude, as well as the website's own shortcomings. The main building is old, which is understandable, but there seemed to be gaps in the doors, allowing you to see inside clearly, and the walls between rooms were extremely thin. I managed to get by by using clothes and bags to seal the doors and using the beds facing the opposite direction.

A very quiet, traditional hotel

It was such a wonderful hotel that it was almost too luxurious for a solo traveler! It seems to be a well-established hotel that can also host weddings, and the price was reasonable, so I would definitely like to use it again next time!

It was conveniently located near the ski resort.
