The location of Travelodge KLCC is definitely one of its strongest points. It is directly opposite Central Market and within easy walking distance of Petaling Street, so it is very convenient for sightseeing, food and shopping around the area.
However, the main issue I had was with the parking arrangement. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because parking was available. Only after arriving did I realise that the parking operates through a valet service, and the car park is not exclusively for hotel guests. It is also used by visitors going to Petaling Street and Central Market.
Because of my partner’s schedule, we needed to drive in and out of the hotel several times during our stay. Unfortunately, we were told by the valet service that we should not be going in and out of the car park repeatedly.
This was quite frustrating. If a hotel advertises parking as one of its facilities, hotel guests who are staying there should reasonably be able to access their own vehicle when needed. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of choosing a hotel with parking in the first place.
I understand that the hotel is located in a very busy area and parking space may be limited, but the parking arrangement and any restrictions on vehicle access should be made much clearer before guests make their booking.
Overall, the location is excellent, but the parking experience was disappointing and inconvenient, especially for guests who need to use their car regularly during their stay.
