M's Hotel Gojo Naginatagiri

I had booked here before and thought it was quite good, so I came back for a repeat stay. The location is pretty convenient, about a 10-minute walk from both the subway and bus stations. The room is indeed small, but that's typical. As for service, there's practically none. They only provided 2 tea bags, even though I booked for 3 days; I only saw those two at check-in. You also have to place towels and trash outside the door yourself, but they didn't even proactively provide trash bags. I remember it wasn't like this before. A bit disappointed, I still hope for more proactive service.

The location is a bit far from the station, bus stop, and downtown area. The room was cramped, and aside from the bed, there was barely enough space for one person to sit. It was a rather stark room with no seating area, and the hotel itself was small with no communal spaces to relax outside of the rooms. Compared to a business hotel, the amenities were sparse, the room table had stains, and there was only a tiny mirror – it felt like the bare minimum service, which was disappointing. There are many better hotels in Kyoto for the same price.
