Sure Hotel by Best Western Paris Gare du Nord

Excellent location, I was able to check in quickly even though I arrived late at night from the station.

I arrived in the morning and only intended to drop off my luggage, but they said I could check in right away, so I did. The amenities were very basic, and there were no tissues. The hotel wasn't too far or too close to the station, so I didn't find it inconvenient at all.

The elevator is tiny, only fitting one person and a suitcase at a time. The balcony couldn't be opened because of an outdoor unit. Line 2's La Chapelle station is a two to three-minute walk away, and Stalingrad station is a 10-15 minute walk. The area under the bridge along the way is where homeless people live, which felt a bit unsafe. Nearby, there's an Indian community with many Asian restaurants and supermarkets. The room was small but could fit two 28-inch suitcases. Soundproofing in the room was poor. The restroom provided hand soap and paper towels. The shower had a 2-in-1 body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Both the bathroom and restroom doors were sliding doors, leaving gaps between the door and the wall. The vending machine in the hotel only accepted coins.

The hotel is good. The staff are friendly. My voucher stated a bathrobe was included, but I wasn't given one. They said it was a mistake, which is a strange stance to take as the voucher is the main document. Breakfast was good. It's a convenient walk to the train station.

Had a very comfortable stay here. The hotel's location is super convenient. Even though I saw online reviews and my pickup driver mentioned the area might not be safe, I, as a solo female traveler, felt completely at ease and stress-free. There's a bus stop right outside with many routes covering all the attractions I wanted to visit. The North Station is less than a 10-minute walk away, making trips to London very easy. The hotel elevator is charmingly small and narrow, just enough space for me and my suitcase side-by-side, which I thought was a quirky characteristic of the city. The room itself was very spacious, with plenty of room to store and organize my luggage, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The staff were all very welcoming. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time!
