Hotel & Spa Sierra de Cazorla

One word describe the hotel "Superb" Location, room, staff, breakfast and dinner. Perfect!!

The Spa is Fabulous, View from room gorgeous. Free parking. Room clean. Coffee bar with panorámic view So really should not complain . But hotel does need a total re vamp as Looking old and tired. Food in restaurant is not 4 star. Fabulous location for exploring the área. Think I would of scored It higher if had stayed in the 3 star part of hotel But then may of not got the view .

I booked this hotel for a very special milestone birthday. I had such high hopes for a 4 star spa hotel. I have to say i was disappointed. I booked a superior double which wasn't like the photos advertised so instantly was let down. They advertise some of the junior suite photos as the superior doubles. Then, to add to my disappointment the room was dirty, ok it was the Arab style ornate wood room which i appreciate will attract dust but I don't expect to see so much dust inside the drawers and wardrobes I literally had to wipe them all out before I could put my clothes in. The wall hanging was filthy and the bathroom surface around sink was also tired, full of what looked like cigarette burns, chips and holes. In hindsight i really shouldve asked for another room but my partner persuaded me we could make do with it but it made me upset on my special birthday. Aside from this I will say we had clean bedding, and a great view of La Iruela Castle and the restaurant and bar on site were excellent, but that is all. I thought maybe as it was a special birthday of which I had told them in advance, I may have got 1 chocolate on my pillow or even a happy birthday from the front desk but no nothing. I guess I shouldn't have such high expectations of a 4 star, but I've stayed in less star rated places and got much better to be honest. Shame.

First, the view from our room was worth the stay—gorgeous! The hotel was good. Staff had limited English but that’s to be expected off the beaten track. The meals that came with “full board” were quite limited, and we would go a la Carter next time. Room was a little stuffy, and it was a little noisy in the evening with the window open. The thermostat didn’t do anything, so a bit of air conditioning was not an optio.
