This has to be the best B&B in Yaoli Ancient Town. Its understated and elegant antique style is incredibly photogenic. The elevator takes you straight to the rooftop where you can see a panoramic view of Yaoli Ancient Town. Just a short walk down the slope and you're at the fish scale weir waterside area. No matter when you arrive, you'll always be greeted with a warm welcome from the butler and the lovely ladies at the front desk.

This old residence has been beautifully renovated. It was once an ancestral home, and the brick carvings and solid wood evoke a strong sense of history and security. Its location right in the heart of the scenic area means you can easily explore the surroundings on foot. The room, though not large, was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. The manager even upgraded us to a fifth-floor room with a window view (as seen in pictures one and two), offering a lovely glimpse of the ancient town. Breakfast, served on the first floor, was plentiful and subtly flavored, perfectly suiting our taste. Overall, a great stay!

Yao Li Fu Ju Cultural Homestay really exceeded my expectations! The overall decor is exquisite and tasteful, and the renovated old house has a lot of character with a great aesthetic. The hygiene was exceptionally well-maintained; it was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The environment is quiet and pleasant, and the service is thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Yaoli.

Thumbs up for the butler! The old house was restored to its original state, with its blue bricks and wooden windows exuding the texture of time. Opening the window reveals views of green mountains and gray tiles, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the ancient town, the courtyard is exceptionally tranquil. It possesses both the ancient charm of the old house and the modern comfort of high-end bedding and bathroom fixtures. Sitting leisurely in the courtyard, sipping tea, listening to the wind and chirping insects, the hustle and bustle of the city slowly dissipates, allowing one to immerse oneself in the relaxed and poetic atmosphere where the Yaoli landscape blends seamlessly with the ancient architecture. The butler was attentive and thoughtful, responding promptly and meticulously, providing practical suggestions for travel and dining, and even recommending excellent travel photography opportunities, leaving beautiful memories of my relaxing summer retreat in Yaoli.

Stay at Fuju, a century-old traditional house in Yaoli, and enjoy a tranquil escape. For my trip to Yaoli, I finally chose Fuju, a homestay that has won the Black Truffle Award for several years—it perfectly matched my aesthetic! ✨ Renovated from old-style Gan-Hui residences, without excessive commercialization, the beams, pillars, and bricks still exude a rustic charm steeped in time. The spacious courtyard and common areas, along with the spacious and comfortable guest rooms, and the private tea room, were my favorite features. The elegant decor and tasteful interiors made it perfect for brewing a pot of tea and watching the light and shadow play in the courtyard—instantly relieving the fatigue of my journey. The location is a major plus. Not adjacent to the main riverside road, it isolates me from the noise of boats and crowds, ensuring a peaceful and quiet night's sleep. Staying at Tao Tao House, I could enjoy the view right from my window. During the day, I strolled along the Yao River and visited the site of the New Fourth Army's reorganization in Yaoli; at night, I retreated to the ancient house for tea and conversation, perfectly capturing the poetry and tranquility of the ancient town. The service from the manager and the young lady was impeccable. A welcome fruit platter was served upon check-in, and a carefully prepared white fungus soup was served in the evening. The entrance to the guesthouse is beautiful, especially when the lights are on at night. Because there weren't many guests, the entire guesthouse was very quiet. Breakfast was light, but the fried dough sticks and mochi were delicious.

This is a very warm and welcoming guesthouse. The butler's service is attentive and thoughtful, and the room views are fantastic. Even if you don't go to any tourist attractions, it's wonderful to just relax and unwind in your room! The breakfast was nutritionally balanced, and the butler mentioned that the pastries were all personally selected by the owner. I'll definitely choose Fuju again next time I'm in Yaoli!
