Unique in every way, beautiful inside and out. Of course it's approaching 100 years old so don't expect it to be perfect - it's showing its age - but the overall feel and experience makes up for it. Also, don't expect too much in terms of typical in-room facilities such as coffee maker or fridge. But if you need them, ask. We had a small fridge brought to our room. Recommend a room on the starboard side (facing the bay), with port-holes. Much nicer view and easier to control the room temperature. Various shops and restaurants. The cafe was nice with good service. The exhibits are fascinating too; the bridge, the promenade deck, the steering and engine rooms. The ship is also right next to a boat dock for the aqualink or aquabus - the latter is just 1$ to go across the bay (for the beach, aquarium, shoreline village, and downtown). Great for best pics of the ship.

Everything was great except the 29dls extra per day for extra fee and 39dls per day parking fee. Otherwise service was great

Great service and staff. The ship is a classic and so fun. We stayed there before going on our Carnival cruise (which is right next door).

Lots to do while staying at the hotel. It was a nice experience.

Expensive dining options. Not clean . Noise . Broken air constantly running . No air at time.

Cool historic hotel located inside of an old ship in Long Beach California. There are some nice restaurants on the upper level as well.

Why TF do I have to tolerate maintenance work including loud drilling right next to my room at 7:30 am in the morning? Absolutely ridiculous. And the front desk clearly did nothing about it after I notified them because it was still going on an hour later. This is not a hotel. It is an utter mess of a place.

Great stay in a historic site. The luggage service staff were fantastic!

This was our 2nd year of attending Dark Harbor. We had a larger room this year with a harbor view. The negative things were the amenities. Last year there were no amenities whatsoever and bed bugs. I contacted the management team and let them know what had happened. I was assured that we would be compensated for the problem. Not only were we not compensated but we actually paid more for our room. We are not new to the Halloween 🎃 event. We attended the Shipwreck events the first 10 years it was open with our kids and friends. I am very disappointed that you misrepresented your care of returning passengers. Other than that we are looking forward to next year.
