Renaissance Shenzhen Bay Hotel

🌈Positive feedback: The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of Shenzhen Bay and the China Resources Tower. The public areas are designed with a luxurious and elegant feel, and the environment is quiet and refined. The rooms are spacious and bright, housekeeping is meticulous, and facilities are well-maintained. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom design is thoughtful, and the buffet restaurant offers high-altitude views with a rich variety of Chinese and Western dishes. Front desk check-in was efficient and polite, and staff responded promptly. 👇Negative feedback: After checking out, the concierge staff were too slow in helping with luggage, taking almost 20 minutes, which was nerve-wracking when trying to catch a flight. There were hairs on the bedding and the bathroom vanity. The bathroom was not cleaned after use on the second day.

The hotel's amenities and complimentary services are excellent. It's conveniently located in Nanshan CBD, close to the subway, Talent Park, MixC World, and other attractions. Cecilia, the customer service representative, was incredibly patient.

The hotel was excellent, especially Quella, who thoughtfully arranged a welcome fruit platter and complimentary breakfast for the children. The high floor offered a fantastic view, and the night scenery was even better. The breakfast was rich and varied.

The service at Renaissance is thoughtful and attentive. Lexie at the executive lounge was particularly meticulous and thorough in her service. The only minor drawback is that the toilet isn't electric; otherwise, everything else was perfectly comfortable.

I took my two kids to Shenzhen for a summer vacation. We originally planned to stay in Shenzhen for three nights, but before we left, we were notified that there would be a 'red sunset' (typhoon). So, we crossed the border to Hong Kong first. For the last two days, we booked the Renaissance, mainly because of its established reputation and great views. On the day we arrived, the sky cleared up in the afternoon, which was a huge relief! We checked in on the 57th floor. The kids were so excited when we got there. Quella at the front desk was very helpful with our check-in. Since we had two children, she even went out of her way to arrange two complimentary breakfasts for us. The room was quite spacious, and the view room was very comfortable. It was a pleasant stay for our family of four. Highly recommend!

Among Renaissance hotels, this one feels quite upscale. Given its location, the price I paid during my stay was pretty reasonable. If you're looking for a high-rise hotel with a view of Shenzhen Bay, this is a good option. The Raffles, Andaz, and Nanshang hotels nearby aren't at this price point, and the Kapok isn't high enough... So, this five-star rating is based on comparing it at this price. Compared to the luxury hotels next door, there's definitely a gap in room amenities, but that's acceptable. There are also some service shortcomings, mainly the outsourced gym downstairs which was a bit indifferent. However, at this price, I'm not expecting flawless service. The breakfast was decent, meeting the average standard for this price range, and the lounge also offered meals. Happy hour was also pretty good, again, meeting average expectations. There's a convenience store downstairs, which is handy for buying things. The highlight, though, is definitely the view of Shenzhen Bay.

Clean and hygienic, with a rich variety of breakfast options. I'll definitely choose Renaissance again next time I visit.

The room was very spacious, with modern minimalist decor, a bathtub, and a large bay window sofa. What's more, breakfast was free for two children over 120cm tall! Evelyn from the F&B department even thoughtfully packed food for my child who doesn't like breakfast – that was truly amazing!!!
