Kimpton MAA-LAI BANGKOK by IHG

We booked a two-bedroom, one-living room, three-bathroom apartment. Overall, it was great; it seems to be an apartment-style hotel with a kitchen, a laundry room, and a refrigerator – everything you need. However, breakfast can get quite crowded, and we always had to wait in line for a bit. The breakfast selection was quite extensive, and the taste was good. It’s very suitable for families with children. The front desk staff didn't speak Chinese, and my rusty English was put to the test! 😂 But we managed to communicate smoothly in the end.

The check-in was very welcoming, with drinks and fragrant hand towels provided. The mirror by the staircase on our floor is absolutely amazing (yyds)! I took OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) photos there every day, and even the elevator provided good photo ops! The buffet was very rich and offered a variety of international cuisines. You can order coffee once seated, and the mocha was delicious! I drank latte the most. The juice was freshly squeezed and not too sweet, and the steamed buns were quite tasty. The bar on the 40th floor isn't really a heavy bar, more like a lounge. Drinks are 60-70 RMB per glass, but there's also a service charge (and the service wasn't great). It's best not to stay on the 39th floor; it felt like there was a constant party upstairs with loud music (we were unfortunately staying on the 39th floor and experienced this firsthand! 🫨)

Fantastic! I received a room upgrade upon check-in, and all my requests were handled promptly. The service was incredibly thoughtful and nice, and the location is excellent. I'll definitely choose Kimpton Milan again if I have the chance!

The hotel's location is super convenient, with supermarkets and pharmacies just a short walk away! You can also enjoy the city's night view. The only downside is a bit of street noise, which might be due to the modified motorcycles common in Thailand. The service was good, but I had an issue when I accidentally booked the wrong dates and then canceled immediately, which wasn't resolved. I feel like there's room for improvement there.
