1825 Gallery Hotel

Walking distance to attractions. Parking not a concern with proper planning.

Stayed at 1825 Gallery Hotel during my Malacca trip and honestly it’s a really nice place to stay ✨ The location is super convenient with lots of good food nearby within walking distance. Morning breakfast can head to Ban Kheng, then grab coffee at The Curious Baker ☕ their coffee was really good. At night, we chilled with dinner and drinks at Tipsy Brew 🍻 Everything was nearby, making the whole stay relaxing and easy. Perfect spot for a short getaway in Malacca 🌿

Many mosquitoes in the hotel lobby. Breakfast like home cooked-toasted bread, egg, ham, salad, tea/coffee. Room at level 1 was dark with small window facing neighbour kitchen/bathroom? The carpet was very dirty. Bed mattress was old & saggy. Last photo shows the room carpet badly stained. When I complainte to hotel staff, he said that's the colour of the carpet?? How much to get it cleaned or replaced? Probably that the standard of the hotel...

18 Apr 2026 - we stayed in Malacca 1825 Gallery Hotel 8 Pax 4 Room, 2 King Beds on ground floor 101 & 102, 2 Twin Beds on level 2. I booked this hotel because of the modern heritage design. It is a beautiful boutique hotel which is 10 mins walk by the riverside to Jonker Street. Unfortunately, when we checked-in at 3pm, there were many small mosquitos flying around at the hotel lobby & above the pond/ stairs. Room 101 next to hotel lobby carpet is super dirty, staff said it is not dirty & that's the colour of the carpet? Look at my photo & you will agree with me... can hear mosquitos sparkling sound (killed by the blue UV light) in the night. Room is dark & moist as the small window is facing the alley & next building kitchen window, couldn't draw up the curtains during the day.. Clothes cabinet was black unlike other rooms were red which makes the room brighter & better looking. To avoid misrepresentation, I would suggest the hotel listing state room has window (faces alley), and bright red/green/white furniture will make the room brighter & nicer. ** Higher floor rooms are brighter and airy.

Didn't take any photos of the hotel but it is a very nice hotel! Location is very startegic! I can walk around Melaka without riding on a car! For those who drive a car to there, they have a reserved parking for visitors, but is first come first serve! I will book this hotel again on my next trip to Melaka! And nearby has alot of nice cafes, foods and drinks! Highly recommend this hotel!

The air conditioning wasn't cold; 16 degrees Celsius wasn't cold either. There was a disinfectant smell when I opened the door. The locations are all very convenient; the service was very good. The lobby smells very good.
