This was my third stay at this hotel. I was in room 616. I had a good room with a large sink and good bathroom. The room was very hot on the third night and the air con struggled as it was just too hot. It reached 45 degrees today so hot everywhere. The lobby area is cool and there is cold water to drink so you can stay cool. What I liked the most about this hotel is the centrality of it, you can get everywhere on the tube and lots of museums are close by. The centrality park in the square is lovely to sit and enjoy the city and take a picnic. I’ve been pretty detailed in my previous posts so you can view the images and suggested ideas for visits. The hotel had a lot of groups in while I was visiting. The breakfast areas were very busy in the morning but the hotel itself is very quiet and I had a great nights sleep on my whole stay. The staff are very helpful and considerate. They have a very good and safe left luggage which I used on my final day. I really enjoyed the cosmopolitan feel of this city hotel and I would definitely stay again next time I visit Tashkent! I’m uploading some images of the lobby and the markets I visited today. To escape the heat I had long rides on the subway and admired the art!

The hotel is a bit old and poorly maintained. The front desk staff were unhelpful and had a generally poor attitude. The bedsheets had holes, the towels were stained and had hair on them, and the comforter had many yellow stains. The slippers were very thin and looked like they had been used before. There was only cold water for showering. There were bugs in the room, and no one answered when I called the front desk. Breakfast was also very mediocre. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Even after reporting this to Ctrip, the hotel offered no solutions.

Hotel Uzbekistan is a classic landmark hotel with a great location, and overall I had a pleasant stay. The room was exceptionally spacious, which was definitely one of the highlights and provided plenty of comfort during my visit. The bathroom had excellent water pressure, making showers very enjoyable. However, the shower faucet design was not very practical, and it leaked during use, which could use some maintenance. The biggest downside was the air conditioning. It wasn’t cold enough, even after I requested and was moved to another room. In the end, I had to sleep with the balcony door open to get some fresh air. Thankfully, the weather at night was very comfortable, and the cool breeze from outside was actually much better than the AC. Overall, the hotel offers large, comfortable rooms and a convenient location, but improving the air conditioning and fixing the shower fixtures would make the stay much more enjoyable.

An icon of the Tashkent skyline... best enjoyed from afar! Not worth the stay -- or only to be able to say "I stated at the Hotel Uzbekistan!" Cramped, sad, tired room. The toilet bowl threatens to topple when one sits on it (no, it's apparently NOT attached to the floor...). And the water in the shower is brown, even after running it for 10 minutes. Highlight: taking great big spoonfuls of Nutella out of a bowl at breakfast. That's it.

Overall, it was clean and comfortable, but perhaps due to its Soviet-era heritage, the bathroom had no ventilation. The air conditioning unit was hidden inside the desk and couldn't be adjusted, making it quite hot during the day.

This is a Soviet era hotel so it is showing its age. However, the rooms are big and the location is very central.

Air condition did not work well, but they changed the room for me, no problem after that.

Hotel is well located. Room is hot and everything seems old but for the price is pretty decent.

The location is super convenient for travelers – there's a metro station nearby, and a double-decker tour bus departs right from the hotel. We didn't expect a 'wow' from the rooms, as we'd already read reviews. They were clean, but the furniture was 'tired'. Breakfasts were decent; we didn't go hungry. However, there was only one coffee machine, and it wasn't working on the second day. What was really disappointing was the breakfast lunch box. We were leaving early in the morning for Samarkand and requested a take-away box. The food turned out to be stale; it felt like they'd packed leftovers from the previous breakfast. The spoiled eggs were particularly upsetting and unexpected.
