If you love the feeling of being on an island, but still want to stay on the mainland—with all the comforts, a lovely local community, a fun Saturday market, and plenty of great food—Sam Roi Yot is simply the place. Dolphin Bay is such a lovely little hotel. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, and everything around the hotel makes you feel completely at ease. There’s no need to dress up, put on an act, or be anything other than yourself. Life here feels simple, easy, and fun. The spaces around the hotel are thoughtfully designed for doing absolutely nothing—which, honestly, is sometimes exactly what you need. The beachfront is beautiful and peaceful, and the whole atmosphere is effortlessly chill. And one little detail that made our stay even more special: for important occasions, the hotel puts real thought into their surprises. For my recent birthday, they prepared a lovely surprise in the room, and you could truly feel the care behind it. Dolphin Bay feels less like a place you come to stay, and more like a place you come to exhale.

Okay, if you're looking for shiny and new, this isn't the place for you. But if you are looking for quiet charm and heart, then look no further. It was one of our best stays in Thailand.

Great service! The breakfast had a wide variety of options and the view was fantastic. The beach is just across the road from the hotel. I booked 4 rooms with double beds but ended up getting all twin beds, even though I specified it during booking. The staff did come up to re-arrange the beds to make them like a double, but there was still a gap. Overall, it was okay and the room was clean.
