Loved staying here, the dorm room was more like a shared apartment. 10 bed dorm had 4 showers & 3 WC. A kitchen and everything you needed. Ski room had personal lockers with boot dryers, keeping everything safe & dry. Staff were very helpful. Bus to the funicular leaves from the front. Restaurant is great as well.

everything was ok, but the restaurant gave both me and my partner food poisoning which ruined our trip. other than that, the hotel itself is simple and good for a night’s rest.

Amazing views and beautiful restaurant/bar area. We had our dog with us and he enjoyed the room meanwhile we enjoyed the restaurant and walked around town. Only thing missing was an AC unit as it was very hot during the summer, front desk was nice enough to offer a fan to help.

The room had plenty of amenities even for lounging and cooking which was pretty cool! The toilets were super clean and the atmosphere of the room was quite nice. Thankfully the room wasn’t fully occupied throughout my stay so I haven’t had issues with other guests but 10 people is quite a big room haha

Superb hostel, ideally located at the foot of the slopes, very convenient. Offers many services, including free ski lockers, which is a real bonus.

Conclusion: I can't recommend Hotel Base Camp - Bourg-Saint-Maurice After a road trip around beautiful France I had four nights at Hotel Base Camp Lodge - Bourg-Saint-Maurice. Compared to other hotels the rooms are very small. But most important - the rooms is without air-condition. The temperature in the tiny room was over 27 degrees Celsius - and the humidity was intense. I approach the reception several times regarding this issue - without any response - it seemed like they didn't care... I had to buy a ventilator in the local Darty in order to get some sleep. The service at the Hotel is also very far from normal standard. The staff appeared indifferent and disengaged. The staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed, even though the hotel was far from full. And by the way - to enjoy the full breakfast selection, it's advisable to arrive before 8:30, as several trays tend to be empty after that time.

This is a good hotel. A good place to base yourself. It was built in 2019 so it retains a ‘like new’ feeling. The buffet is of good quality.
