We stayed at The Queensgate Hotel and chose it mainly because of its location. It’s around an 8-minute walk from the Royal Albert Hall and about 10 minutes from some of London’s best museums, including the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum. If you’re planning to visit these places, I think this is a really convenient area to stay. It’s also a good choice if you want to be close to the main attractions but still have somewhere comfortable to come back to and rest after a busy day. The room was smaller than we expected and quite compact, but it was comfortable enough for our stay. One thing that was really important for us, especially during the summer, was having air conditioning in the room. London can get surprisingly warm in summer, so having air conditioning definitely made our stay more comfortable. I also really liked the coffee machine in the room. It worked very well once we figured out how to use it, although it did take us a little while to get it going! There isn’t a kettle in the room, but the coffee machine can also provide hot water. One thing to keep in mind is that the coffee machine can be quite noisy when it’s running, so if you’re staying with someone who is a light sleeper, it might be better not to use it late at night or very early in the morning. We received a lovely fruit welcome from the hotel staff, which was such a nice touch and made us feel very welcome. Just as a small suggestion for the future, perhaps the bowl could be covered with cling film to keep the fruit protected and fresh. It’s only a little suggestion, as we really appreciated the thoughtful welcome gift. A special thank you to Alfadi at reception, who was very welcoming and friendly. Check-in was quick and easy, which was great after travelling. I’d also like to say a big thank you to Venky. While my guest was resting in the lobby area, he kindly offered a complimentary bottle of water. It was a small gesture, but very thoughtful and considerate. We also really appreciated how friendly the staff were throughout our stay. They always greeted us with a welcoming smile and were happy to help with our luggage or arrange a taxi when needed. These little touches made us feel well looked after. Breakfast is served on the lower ground floor and costs around £20 per person. It’s a buffet-style breakfast with a good variety of food, so there was plenty to choose from. One small thing I noticed was that the milk was provided in individual glass bottles. I understand this is probably a hygiene choice, but I found the bottles a little difficult to open, and I think some elderly guests might find them even harder to manage. Personally, I think having milk available in a jug would be a little easier and more convenient. Overall, we had a lovely stay at The Queensgate Hotel. The location was definitely the biggest advantage for us, especially being so close to the Royal Albert Hall and all the museums. The friendly staff, air-conditioned rooms and convenient location made it a good base for exploring London. If you’re coming to London mainly to explore the museums and attractions around South Kensington, I think it’s a very convenient place to stay.

I'm studying in Cambridge and this hotel is for my weekend trip. The staff who works reception are kind, but the door man?? I don't know. He brought down the reputation of the hotel itself. I will complain it after write this review. Other one bad thing was about clean the room, someone didn't clean the floor in my room. I ate something and dropped some crumbs on the floor but it didn't clean up. This hotel has four stars, but these situations weren't not four stars.

Great location and breakfast also really good. Very noisy though through the night as on a busy road and the pillows weren’t the best . The rooms were quite warm so had to leave windows open even though turned all heating off, which is probably why it was so noisy. Would definitely stay here again for the location to the Royal Albert Hall . Staff were very good as well.

Excellent and comfortable, smart boutique hotel very well placed for Kensington attractions while only a short tube ride to central London. Breakfast is a wide variety of freshly prepared and tasty produce from full English to light pastries to fresh fruit - something for all tastes. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff complete the charm of this recommended hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Kensington, perfect for reaching museums including the V&A, Natural History Museum along with the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The bathroom was excellent with a great shower and included all the necessary toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, my sister and I enjoyed our stay and found both the hotel and surrounding area very pleasant and comfortable. We would recommend The Queen's Gate Hotel to anyone looking for a centrally located and comfortable stay in London.

Amazing hotel! Perfect location for the Albert Hall or South Kensington to get into central London. From check in to checkout the team could not have been more helpful. Beautiful rooms and a great compact gym area. Every detail has been thought through which was nice. The bar had its own terrace area and the service and food was superb. Would definitely return here.
