Wild Coast Tented Lodge - Relais and Chateaux - All Inclusive

Flawless, an absolutely delightful experience. All three meals were delicious, Western-style, and I tried several appetizers and main courses from the menu—all excellent. The sunset cocktail hour on the beach was so chill; the waves, sunset, bonfire, and cocktails were the perfect combination. For the safari, we found everything except the Sri Lankan leopard. It's like a stand-in for the African savannah, and you don't have to deal with crowds or hassle, plus the hotel took great care of us. One day was definitely too short...

If you're planning a trip to Sri Lanka and Yala, I highly recommend Wild Coast. It's one of the very few accommodations located directly within the nature reserve, and they have an incredibly professional team of local ranger-guides. Their expertise in spotting animals and sharing knowledge is truly top-notch! Plus, the hotel's jeeps don't have to queue to enter the park, which saves a lot of time and significantly enhances the safari experience. We were incredibly lucky to spot a Ceylon leopard – so lucky! As an all-inclusive hotel, it's completely hassle-free, with meals, drinks, safaris, and laundry all included.

All aspects are very good and in line with expectations. The only drawback is the waiter in the last picture, who has a very bad attitude. He was in charge of our table for both meals and had a bad attitude from beginning to end.

This is a hotel without misleading photos; what you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. Everyone goes to Yala for the safari, and the hotel is all-inclusive, including a guide. Unfortunately, we didn't see many animals this time.

This hotel is a luxury wilderness-style hotel, located next to an international chain hotel in the same area. My friend opted for a larger chain hotel nearby to save money, and I also checked it out. After comparing both hotels, my experience is that this hotel is absolutely more than enough for one night. The main issue is value for money; this hotel is too expensive, and its facilities aren't as good as the hotels next door, although its style is more unique. If you're looking for an experience or to take some unique photos, one night is sufficient. The hotel doesn't have many facilities besides the rooms and the restaurant. The safari activities are outsourced to third parties; all the hotels in the surrounding area offer the same services.

A very satisfying experience. The service is impeccable. The tents are fully equipped (except for the TV). You can check in without bringing anything. There are even rain gear and insect repellent. There is free laundry, which is very thoughtful. It is recommended to choose the 3-meal all-inclusive package. Although it is more expensive, the food, water, drinks and alcohol are all worry-free and available. There are two time periods to enter the wildlife park, morning and afternoon. Each 3h can be freely selected according to the arrival time or the number of days of stay. There are special personnel to accompany you (one driver and one tour guide). The car is allocated according to each order (that is, one family) and it is very humane not to mix with others. As for the animals you can see in the park, it is random. I didn't see the leopard twice this time. It's a pity. Others such as elephants and deer can be encountered at any time. White leaf monkeys can also be encountered in the hotel. Wild boars were also encountered once in the hotel. In short, there are still many animals. It is not uncommon to stay for two more days for lizards and peacocks.
