I shall savor an alluring summer and have experienced the height of indulgence with Umaid Bhawan Palace which is the JEWEL of Jodhpur. Cozily lit , full bellies , breath taking lawns, spectacular view from the Lanchester Suite, mesmerising sunsets, the iconic makrana marble staircase , the majestic edifice of the palace made out of Chittar stone , vintage portraits , Lord Krishna ‘s idol , the captivating dome , incredible architecture remarkable services , the grand royal welcome made it a mind blowing stay ! I immersed myself in a calm, slow-paced environment without the constraint of time, spending hours in a state of reverie, letting my mind wander, listening to the melancholic sound of the peacocks and watching the elegant pigeons allowing myself moments of pure contemplation.It meant a platform for mental and physical regeneration, a beautiful catharsis for me . Mr. Manu Sharma, the General Manager of Umaid Bhawan Palace and the Cluster General Manager IHCL , Rajasthan is known for his exquisite aesthetics , and predilection for panache. He’s a gem and a pure soul. He’s a lot like a sergeant in the army. Having him in the team can make a difference between success and disaster . The palace needs him, his guests need him . Palace properties are in safe hands with him. He’s a pillar of Taj and running. I wish to extend my sincerest commendation to Mr. Gaurav Samtani , Director of Rooms for his truly exceptional assistance during my recent stay. He is a very good human being . His thoughtful allocation of the Lanchester Suite overlooking the lawns and the baradari , provided an unparalleled experience. In 2016 , I had the privilege to stay in the Maharani Badan Kanwar Suite and it would remain my life’s most cherished memories with Taj . On my next visit I hope to experience something regal in regard to the room , may be the Mehfil Suite or something which would make me walk down the ra of the Marwar dynasty . Executive Chef Elango Shanmugam , Sous Chef Vikram Bist, Sous Chef Kush, Pastry Chef Gaurav , Chef Chander , Chef Pushpendra, Chef Mohan, Chef Pankaj consistently deliver an unparalleled culinary experience that profoundly elevates the guest stay.
