The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel

The staff were friendly and helpful, and late-night check-in was no problem. The stay was very pleasant, the environment was clean and hygienic, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options, which was very satisfying. The food and experience at the lounge were also excellent.

The front desk and concierge staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They upgraded me to an N3 room and personally escorted me there, explaining all the features. I was also treated to a generous fruit platter and homemade chocolates. My room had a lovely church view, and I really appreciated Niccolo's chic and modern design aesthetic. The soft furnishings and electronic controls felt quite new. The rooftop bar and restaurant offered expansive views, with the lights of Central Hong Kong sparkling all around. Breakfast was excellent and very generous. The à la carte menu was more than enough, and there was also a buffet with steamed dim sum, pineapple buns, and cured ham, among other things. Plates were cleared promptly, and staff were always happy to help with any requests. Due to the typhoon, the front desk was very understanding. They recommended the hotel's restaurants and kindly extended my check-out time to 2 PM.

The service here was exceptionally good. Two years ago, when I stayed at a certain hotel in Elements, I had to argue and complain. This place, however, was absolutely flawless. Before arrival, a butler proactively contacted me via WeChat to ask if I had any special requests. The front desk lady recommended an upgrade to a N-series twin room, which was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. They even provided complimentary fruit and chocolates. What's more, they offered a room tour, which is something very few hotels have done for years. On the second day, when I came out to check out, several staff members approached me, offering to guide me, asking if I needed luggage storage, and even helping me arrange a taxi. This was the first time I felt genuinely well-treated in Hong Kong.

The room was spacious and grand, right next to the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, making for a fantastic environment! The staff were warm and enthusiastic, responding promptly to requests, and the turndown service was excellent. As a honeymoon hotel, we were extremely satisfied. If we come to Hong Kong again, we will still choose The Murray!

Centrally located yet surprisingly quiet, The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel is conveniently within walking distance of Admiralty/Central stations, Hong Kong Park, and the Peak Tram. The rooms are spacious by Hong Kong standards, starting from 47 sqm, and come equipped with electric frosted glass, a capsule coffee machine, welcome fruit, and chocolates. The mattress comfort was just right, and both soundproofing and blackout curtains were excellent. The front desk and concierge staff were polite and proactive, handling late check-out, taxi calls, and directions smoothly. While not the cheapest, the experience and location make it well worth the price. I would definitely stay here again. I also love the hotel's design, it's very photogenic!

My stay at The Murray was delightful. Florence and Eliza were incredibly helpful, suggesting I add them on WeChat for easy communication and assistance. The room was clean and tidy, and the environment was quiet and comfortable. Overall, I was very satisfied and would highly recommend it. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.

I found the sink and toilet design to be quite impractical. I understand that the hotel is an older building, which might limit certain design choices. However, I believe the sink could at least be located outside the bathroom. This would prevent awkward situations, especially when one person needs to use the toilet while another needs to brush their teeth or wash their hands simultaneously – it's incredibly inconvenient. It's also unhygienic, as aerosols from flushing the toilet can linger in the air and settle on toothbrushes and cups. Furthermore, the bathroom door doesn't close properly, and at night, if someone uses the toilet, the bed faces directly towards it, making for a very unsettling sleep. It's also inconvenient for things like pouring tea. Sitting on the sofa constantly made me feel like I was watching TV, drinking, or eating right at the bathroom door. The service and amenities, however, were excellent and very responsive. It's really just an issue with the hardware, or perhaps I should have just chosen a different room type.

The room was very bright, and there were welcome fruits and chocolates. The size was comparable to a standard room in mainland China. Both the shower and toilet were made of white marble, which gave a very clean impression. The mattress was comfortable, and the turndown service was also excellent. Plenty of drinking water was provided, with a rich selection of complimentary tea bags and coffee capsules. The variety of paid snacks and alcoholic beverages was impressively extensive. The front desk service was incredibly thoughtful and warm. When I requested a quiet room during check-in, the front desk attendant specifically chose one that wasn't near the elevator or at the end of the hallway, showing great patience.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, after 7 years. I booked an N3 Deluxe Room, and Manager Huang at the front desk was incredibly nice and upgraded us to a 75-square-meter Deluxe Suite. The room was spacious, well-equipped, very clean and tidy, with a great view overlooking Hong Kong Park. Both the breakfast and the executive lounge food were excellent!
