The Westin Bund Center Shanghai

The Westin Bund Center is a five-star hotel with an excellent location. It's within walking distance of Yuyuan Garden Metro Station, Yuyuan Tourist Mart, the Bund waterfront promenade, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The hotel is adjacent to the Bund Center, whose lotus-shaped roof acts like a crown for the hotel, giving it a grand and recognizable exterior. The lobby atrium is a design highlight, featuring a 26-meter-high glass ceiling and a glass 'sky escalator' connecting the first to fourth floors, seamlessly integrating natural light – it's absolutely beautiful. The Lobby Lounge, located in the atrium, is surrounded by palm trees and flowing water, evoking a Southeast Asian vibe. It subtly encourages visitors to pause, enjoy the scenery, chat, and sip tea – truly a delightful way to live. While the guest rooms aren't huge, their overall layout is well-planned and facilities are comprehensive. The Heavenly Bed is truly captivating; the soft, delicate, clean, and skin-friendly bedding enhances a deeply immersive dream. Three floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic city views – the more you stay, the more you'll love it! The Stage restaurant offers a bountiful buffet breakfast, with both Chinese and Western options. The omelets are shaped like egg dumplings and taste great, the croissants are quite good, the tofu pudding is delicious, and the latte coffee is also pleasant. We didn't get to try the Chinese restaurant as it was hosting a wedding banquet. The hotel also has a full range of fitness equipment and an indoor heated swimming pool. It's a truly joyful experience to relax and unwind here.

The Westin Bund Center Shanghai - A luxury hotel with the most stunning views in Shanghai! 🌃 Our stay at The Westin Bund Center Shanghai left a truly deep and lasting impression on us! From the moment you walk in, it exudes grandeur. There's a lovely fountain at the entrance, and the lobby lounge is fantastic. After a long-haul flight, being able to unwind in a place like this was just wonderful. 💆 What blew us away the most was the view outside the window—arguably the best skyline view in all of Shanghai, overlooking the "Bottle Opener" (Shanghai World Financial Center) and the Shanghai Tower. We even went up to the Shanghai Tower that very evening. 🏙️ The room was extremely luxurious, the bathtub was great, and the bathroom was exquisite. Everything was top-notch. The only minor regret was that there were two of us, but only one bathrobe in the room. However, that's just a tiny detail and didn't affect the overall experience at all—we were thoroughly satisfied with the room! We will definitely come back next time. 🙏

The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai boasts an excellent location, with the Bund, East Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and Yu Garden / City God Temple all within easy reach. It's an established 5-star hotel offering great value for money right in the heart of the Bund area. The signature 'Westin Heavenly Bed' is frequently praised, and rightfully so. The hotel feels like a fantastic deal and is a wonderful leisure getaway for seniors like us here in Shanghai. Highly recommended! [smile][rose][thumbsup]

This was my second stay in this room type (Crown Business King Room), and I still quite like it. Apart from the unremarkable view outside the window, the room itself is very comfortable – be it the bed, the sofa, or the layout. The only minor issue is that the curtains let in a lot of light. Because of the corner design, they can't fully close, so sunlight streams in early in the morning, making it hard to sleep in. The Chinese restaurant is decent; each dish has its own distinct flavor. The swimming pool is really too shallow, and the walk to it is a bit long. Also, the bath towels are a bit small. They could take a cue from The Portman and provide bathrobes for the pool.

I chose a family room based on the pictures on Trip.com, which showed views of the Bund at night. However, upon check-in, I was given a room on a low floor with virtually no view of the Bund. If you're looking for Bund night views, you might consider Jinjiang Metropolo Hotel, which offers better locations and prices. The breakfast at the 5th-floor Executive Lounge restaurant was the worst I've experienced in any star-rated hotel. I do not recommend this hotel for family travel.

The hotel's location is very convenient, it's clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete. The staff's attitude is excellent, especially Winnie Zhang, who was incredibly helpful.
