Shintomi-Tei

The room was old, and the sliding doors to the rooms rattled and creaked quite loudly, making it difficult to even go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The food was lavish, but perhaps a holdover from the bubble era, the portions were so large that I couldn't finish it. I don't think there's anyone who could finish it, especially if they were drinking alcohol at the time. It may be a matter of my personality, but in today's society, the portions are so large that I feel bad leaving food uneaten. I think it would be better to improve the quality and reduce the portions a little. *All the food is delicious, but in addition to the food shown in the picture, rice, clear soup, and dessert are included.

This was our first trip to Matsushima, and we stayed here as a family. A ryokan with breakfast and dinner included! The dream of "high-quality dining" was a thrill! Thank you so much for showing us to our spacious room! 😊 The TV didn't fit in the storage shelf, so we had to watch it at an angle (lol). It's a great memory! 😆 The food was also very filling, with a wide selection of dishes. It's located on a slight hill, so it's about a 10-minute walk to the sightseeing boat dock, but it's quiet at night. The amenities in the room were a bath towel, face towel, and toothbrush set. Other amenities included a hair dryer and shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the unit bath. The Wi-Fi was a little difficult to connect... The outlets are old-fashioned, so it's a good idea to bring your own charging devices if you want to charge your smartphone. Thank you for your hospitality! 🙇♀️

We stayed for one night as a couple on December 30th. The accommodation fee was reasonable for this time of year. The exterior of the main building and the annex are clearly older than the others, but the inside was clean. The service was good. The room was spacious and it was too big for just two people. The bath was quite spacious and we were able to take our time in it. The food was also plentiful. There were some stains (tape marks, etc.) that bothered us, but it was good considering the price.

Perhaps due to aging, the place is starting to show signs of wear and tear. The lights in the room would sometimes turn on and sometimes wouldn't, and the toilet door wouldn't close. There were a lot of larvae floating around both inside and outside the large communal bath. The open-air bath was also full of weeds, so I couldn't get used to it. For dinner, we were taken to a bus and had to eat before coming back, which was unsettling. Also, the time was the shortest, at 6:30. As for breakfast, the menu was extensive and delicious, but there were still flies flying around, which was bothersome. The staff were kind and cheerful, but I felt that the aging of the place was not to be overcome. Perhaps due to the small number of staff, there was no one at the front desk.

The front desk and everyone there were very kind and polite, and the food was delicious. I was very satisfied with everything.

初日飛行機の到着が遅くなり、夕飯の時間を過ぎてしまったのに関わらず、準備していただきありがとうございました😊 寝巻きや歯ブラシ、タオルが置いてありました。 車ですぐのところにコンビニや松島の観光名所もあり移動が楽でした！！ とてもおもてなしを感じられ、快適でした！！ また宮城に行ったら、ぜひ利用したいと思います。 ありがとうございました！！(写真は部屋からの景色です。)
