Baan Laimai Patong Beach Resort

This is an amazing hotel with nice swimming pool easy access to the beach in front the hotel . Breakfast choices is amazing and service is excellent

I booked a Superior Room for 4 nights, but I was placed in a room directly facing ongoing maintenance and marble cutting work every day from the early morning, the noise was so unbearable that I couldn't sleep. Given that the hotel was not fully booked (in fact, it was mostly empty), they neither moved me to another room nor upgraded me to a quieter location away from the disturbance. Furthermore, upon arrival, the receptionist could not find my booking paperwork, forcing me to wait for 40 minutes—even though I told him he could simply reprint it from the computer. My booking included breakfast for two people. However, when I invited a friend to join me for breakfast, the hotel refused, claiming that he was not registered in the same room. Lastly, the room lacks basic safety measures; the furniture has very sharp edges, which caused us cuts and injuries on more than one occasion.

The hotel is overall good. The room is big. Near to the Patong beach.

Mixed feelings about this resort. I booked a superior room with balcony, to discover upon arrival that the balcony was actually indoor. A balcony in a covered space (atrium, i added pictures). But when i went down to the reception and shared my disappointment, the only response the front desk gave me was ‘my system says this is what you booked’…. Not even asking, can i have a look at your booking or asking me anything. Basically saying: I don’t give a **** and my computer says i’m right. When Trip tried to call her, but couldn’t reach her on the phone, she said “oh yes, that’s because our sales team already went home”… again: ‘not my problem’ attitude. Very bad and definitely not up to common hospitality standards. The ladies’ supervisor luckily did a lot better and Trip did an amazing job to come to a solution. Location is very central, good restaurant, amazing layout and pool. Also be aware that even if you book and paid for a double room, if your friend (male or female) is too tired after party to go back home and sleeps in your room, they will charge you 1,000 Bth extra per night. I find this also ridiculous. The last picture is after the upgrade.

Great stay. The Baan Laimai is conveniently located, right in the heart of Patong. Whilst there’s a lot happening around with so much great nightlife, the room was facing poolside and so there was almost no notable noise at night.
