Hotel Old Cinema

Booked this hotel purely based on the reviews and I am so happy I stayed here!!! Hotel is located close to everything you could need. Waterfront but far away. The hotel itself is charming! For a themed hotel, it’s not OTT. Rooms are comfy, modern and remarkably quiet even though close to the road. Most importantly is hotel reception and bar staff. They ladies are so kind and helpful! The little touches like iced water when at the pool and the friendly smiles. The shower is out of this world! So good in terms of water pressure and temperature. The pool, while a little small is clean and deep enough to actually swim. It’s peaceful and the bar and services can all be charged to the room for ease. Overall, the hotel absolutely exceeded all my expectations and I will not hesitate to stay again.

Unlimited breakfast. The chicken Pitas were awesome. The pool was clean. The service was impeccable! 🤩🏆

Absolutely fantastic. Layout, decor, style, ambience, pool area, cleanliness, food quality, drink options, and hotel location are top notch. The staff go above and beyond with little touches such as providing iced water when you go poolside. My wife says it is the best hotel experience during our many jaunts to Asia. Will definitely stay again when we return to Kampot.

We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely choose it again. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They also took the time to help us find a tour while we are with them. We really enjoyed our welcoming letter and felt the personalization was a great touch. The breakfast the next morning was very yummy and filling You can’t go wrong staying in this hotel! 

Loved the Old Cinema hotel. Beautiful art deco decoration in rooms and surrounding areas. Air con works well. Great shower. Cool breakfast area / cafe with lots of plants. Great background music accentuating the cool mood. Small pool to cool off in was on way to needing a clean, but was fine. Lots of towels. All staff were magnificent even helping to organise tuk tuks to the sights. Food excellent. Loved this place especially the meatball sandwiches for lunch.

This hotel is amazing! It's beautifully decorate, immaculately clean and comfortable. The ladies who run this hotel are fantastic, super helpful. They know good guides and can arrange any tour you wish. The food is delicious... The brekky is so good. It's al a cart, not buffet, but that doesn't limit your choice at all. I found the location central to everything as well. I speak highly enough about this hotel and whole heartily recommend!

Really lovely stay. Such beautiful & caring staff. Excellent location walkable to all restaurants & cafes in town + waterfront. Good breakfast selection; the proposition is that you choose from an option on the set menu however, you can actually mix and match from any option!? The really wow-factor is the stunning art deco design elements everywhere; it has been so extraordinarily done, it’s absolutely stunning. Reception provided us with a taxi for 60USD for the day to explore the area; Kampot pepper farm, Kep area, salt flats and we also decided to take a few hours out at the Veranda Natural Resort near Kep to have coffee, patisserie and a swim in their beautiful pool just below the restaurant. Best to take a taxi for a day out as it’s far more comfortable than a tuk tuk and some of the roads can be mighty dusty. If we had to highlight an area to improve, we’d recommend draining the plunge pool and giving the tiles a good scrub down. Besides this, it’s still a 200% great experience to stay there!!!
