Matsushima Ichinobo

We were given the wrong room type upon check-in, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with many choices, each one a pleasant surprise! The outdoor hot spring was large, comfortable, and clean – definitely worth a try!

I finally got to stay at the inn I'd been longing for, and after choosing the hot spring in my room, I was able to enjoy the hot spring to my heart's content! I'd compare it to Ichinobo in Sakunami Onsen, but Sakunami Onsen had a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere, and I especially liked the food. The food in Matsushima was very stylish and tasty, but the queues were sometimes long, so I wish there were some dishes that you could serve yourself. Also, the dessert selection was too limited, and although there were a wide variety of drinks, once you ate, you wouldn't drink as much. Of course, this is subject to personal preference. The view was amazing.

Accommodation is expensive, and the food is not good value for money.

A huge hot spring hotel with a Japanese-style garden, how can it be called beautiful! The scenery from the hot spring is also very good, but most of the buffet is seafood and beef, and the variety is not enough.

The hotel is right next to an art gallery. The directions are not very clear and it is easy to go wrong. Breakfast and dinner are buffets.

The hospitality was also great!

It must have been my first luxury hotel in 30 years, so I went there looking forward to it, but I had an inexpensive buffet-style dinner, and the meat was all firm and red with streaks from bluefin tuna.And best of all, it was over at 7:45. We didn't take a bath late at night, and it cost 100,000 yen for two people. Has the manager ever eaten the meal? The facilities were fine and the breakfast was average. It was a good experience.
