Excellent location, right near Queen Street, making it super convenient for getting around.

This was my second stay here, and the views are absolutely unbeatable! The location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get everywhere. The breakfast in the morning is simple, but the coffee and omelets are great. Both the sea and city views are lovely, making it a perfect spot for a trip with friends.

The hotel service was excellent. We had an early tour departing at 6:30 AM, and they kindly offered to pack breakfast for us, so we didn't miss out on our pre-booked meal. The front desk staff were also very efficient and helpful. The room was spacious and offered a view of Auckland's Sky Tower. The facilities felt quite new. Upon check-in, we found two fancy-looking glass bottles of water – one sparkling and one still – which was a thoughtful touch. Also, their shampoo and shower gel were great; the subtle scent made them feel quite luxurious. The hotel's location is perfect, just 100 meters off Queen Street, making it very convenient for shopping.

Before heading home, we decided to stay another night in Auckland and chose to be near Sky Tower again, as it's really convenient and close to the airport shuttle. This time, we opted for VOCO. It's in the same building as Holiday Inn but has a separate entrance, and VOCO occupies the higher floors. We booked a Sky Tower view room and overall, it was fantastic! 🎉 First off, the room was very spacious with a 1.9-meter king-sized bed. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and when you pull back the curtains, Sky Tower is right there – the night view was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was also great with a good variety. It's a shame we only had a short stay this time, but we'll definitely be back if we get the chance!

The hotel itself is pretty standard. The front desk service was quite good, although there was a bit of a language barrier. Luckily, they had Chinese-speaking staff who were incredibly warm and helpful. My room last night had an issue, so I requested a change, and the room I got today is perfect. If I had been given this room yesterday, I would have definitely stayed a few more nights. It's a shame I cancelled my upcoming reservations.

The layout is nice, and the night view is beautiful, but the harbor view is just okay as a building blocks part of it. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the omelets are pretty good. The service is friendly, and there are many Chinese restaurants nearby. The gym is very clean.

Stayed for one night during a layover. It was an average, no-frills budget hotel. The location is decent, sharing a building with a Holiday Inn. You'll need to walk a bit from the SkyBus stop, and there are a few slopes, which can be tiring if you're pushing luggage. My room had a view of the Sky Tower. Overall, Auckland isn't that exciting, nothing much to do. Oh, and if you walk past the JW hotel, there's a Japanese ramen place across the street that's quite good – worth a try! The tonkatsu (pork cutlet) rice, however, was just okay.
