Hotel Newv Gangnam Seoul

This hotel is just a few minutes' uphill walk from Seolleung Subway Station Exit 3. There are many restaurants nearby, and it's only one subway stop to COEX. It's also not far from Jamsil, Seongsu, and Apgujeong Rodeo. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the bedding is good, and the price is very reasonable. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Korea.

The room is spacious, the mattress is comfortable, the shower head works well, and the WiFi is good. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. There's a fridge and a self-service laundry room, and the elevator is fast. The only downside is that something is stuck on the window, so there's not much natural light.

The hotel met my expectations. The room size was just right for one person, and it was well-equipped. The front desk staff and the cleaning ladies were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The only issue was a motion-activated light near the entrance. It seems there's no switch to turn it off, and it's overly sensitive with too wide a range. Even slight movements in bed would trigger it, which was quite annoying at night.

The hotel's location is fantastic! It's just a few hundred meters from Exit 3 of Metro Line 2. There are convenience stores on the opposite street, and plenty of BBQ and snack options nearby. The renovation wasn't quite finished, but it didn't really bother us most of the time. It's super convenient for exploring Gangnam. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

I always stay here when I'm on business trips to Seoul, and I've always found it convenient with a good environment. However, this time the room was unbelievably bad, definitely not worth over 1,000 won. The hotel is under renovation, so coming in through the front or back entrance is inconvenient due to construction debris. Plus, the newly renovated room had a strong smell, and the door didn't even have a peephole. Besides the bed, there was only a small stool in the room, which was incredibly basic. I will never stay here again, and I advise anyone reading this review to seriously reconsider as well.
