Hospedería Tía María

I stayed here for one night last week. The room was extremely clean although basic. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The host was wonderful and as I was leaving early in the morning before breakfast, he left me a plate of fruit and a huge piece of cake on reception. Oh and the hotel cat is sooo friendly! I will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Quite ordinary and not too updated hotel i a very small "rural town". We used it for convenience (close to our visits in the areal). In one way charming, but not fancy at all. Not too much to see or do in the town - restaurants are very casual.

Highly recommend. Outstanding quaint little mountain town with just a couple of bars, restaurants and small places to stay. Narrow cobblestone streets and tight parking. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice little restaurant below the hotel both run personally by the owner who is happy to chat, provide helpful service, and tailor meal times to your activities. Nice older stone, brick, beam, mortar and concrete buildings. This accommodation is jus a few rooms redone completely in modern style but retaining the old beams and wood floors / heavy doors. Very quiet, very modern, very comfortable, very pleasant with a genuinely friendly proprietor. Little restaurant has 6 or 7 tables and a small bar with very attentive service. Highly recommend! Larger town with all needs is only ten minutes down the hill on a steep and windy road. Very picturesque!

The room was very small, no room for luggage. The bed basically took up the entire room. The bathroom also was tight. Hardly enough room to sit on the toilet. The shower knob was broken, but could be made to function. The owner was kind and he let us into our room early, which was nice because we were jet lagged from our flight.
