ITC Sonar, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kolkata

hotel cleanliness and location is ok. only 30 to 40 mins from airport and maybe 50 to 60mins during peak hours. The room is comfortable and clean. The food (in room dining) is big portion and solo traveller cannnot order too many dishes. The reception counter is slow in serving the guests. Always seems to be multi-tasking. I.e. cannot concentrate and handle one guest at a time, while other guests just cut in and then he/she will have attention diverted. Coffeshop (place where we have breakfast) service is ok in the morning. Mainly because it is buffet. However, if lunch time 3 to 4pm, their staff is slow in responding and waiting for food and bill is very long. Their chinese resturant always seems to be closed. So within my days of stay, i visited twice and i was told it is closed. I dont use their facilities.

- slow check in, extremely slow - cufusing location between ITC Royal - not clean enough for 5 stars - the room is smell and humid - kettle is dirty and old + i give only positive as they give 6 bottle of water and welcome friut everyday.

Hotel stay was amazing! Maybe the only flaw is the location as my driver keep going to the wrong entrance

Room was good , the atmosphere is good ,but it under maintenance, it was very noisy in the day , can't take a rest c, cant working or meeting in the room. checked-in process is difficult and slow , its not professional bas 5 stars hotel.
