Gui Lai Xi Qi Riverside Boutique Hotel (Zhenyuan Ancient Town)

We drove ourselves, and since cars aren't allowed into the scenic area, the hotel arranged a small electric cart to pick us and our luggage up, making our arrival effortless. The room was uniquely decorated and very clean. Most importantly, the room's balcony offered views of the Wuyang River, Zhusheng Bridge, and other sights. There's also a viewing platform on the rooftop.

The decor is modern, and the smart home features are a nice touch. From the room's balcony, you can see Zhenyuan's iconic Qingshan Cave and Zhusheng Bridge. I highly recommend the rooftop viewing platform (it's a pretty unique feature!).

The room was quite different from the pictures. There were a lot of bugs in the room. The balcony view was beautiful, but overall, it felt like poor value for money. 900 was definitely too expensive.

This guesthouse must be one of the best in town. The family made us feel right at home. A truly thoughtful and warm experience.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. The guest room balconies and rooftop terrace directly face Zhusheng Bridge and Qinglong Cave, making it probably the best-situated guesthouse in the entire ancient town for scenic views. The overall design is excellent, with spacious common areas, making you almost reluctant to leave the hotel. The service is also very thoughtful; they contact you in advance to provide check-in information and arrange parking and electric car transfers. Breakfast is a set menu and very well prepared. Highly recommended.

A very clean and comfortable B&B. It's really close to the city center, and perfect for taking photos. The owner even helped my child experience fishing with a rod, repeatedly reminding them to be careful with the hook. Even though we didn't catch any fish, it left my child with wonderful memories.

The owner upgraded our room, which was amazing! This was by far the best accommodation we had during our entire Guizhou trip!! The whole place was incredibly well-designed, the room was huge, and the balcony offered stunning views – super comfortable! The rooftop was perfect for enjoying the scenery and the breeze, just lovely! Plus, they offered a really thoughtful afternoon tea. When we checked out, they even gave us green tea as a parting gift! I highly recommend staying here!

Half city green hills, half city river; half city mountains and water, half city mist. Zhenyuan isn't far! Don't wait, we can go ourselves! I've already recommended the ancient town and this guesthouse to all my friends. It was truly a worthwhile trip! The view from the window was absolutely stunning!

I chose Gui Lai Xi based on the ratings, and it exceeded my expectations! The hotel's design is innovative, with a white aesthetic that feels particularly warm and stylish. It has a wonderful ambiance and atmosphere, especially since you can see Zhusheng Bridge and Qinglong Cave from the room windows. Facing the bustling crowds outside, it’s quite a pleasant experience. The hotel's location is fantastic; it's close to the riverbank, the ancient alleys, and the intangible cultural heritage food street. Zhenyuan's nightlife is beautiful, and it's most enchanting when the lights first come on in the evening. Standing on the hotel's rooftop terrace at that time, you truly see a river of lights and a city full of tenderness. What's more, the hotel owner is incredibly nice. When we couldn't get a taxi on our departure day, the hotel helped us call one. Because the small town's alleys were under renovation and the taxi was momentarily stuck, the owner personally drove us on an electric scooter to meet the taxi, ensuring we arrived at the bus station smoothly. In short, Zhenyuan is a place I'd definitely visit again, offering beautiful scenery, delicious food, and wonderful accommodation.
