Roynet Hotel Seoul Mapo

The showerhead couldn't be fixed in place; water sprayed everywhere as soon as it was turned on, and it was also loose up and down. The room was very noisy. When I asked to change rooms, I was told that the only option was a lower floor, which would be even noisier. There was spilled red wine in the lobby that wasn't cleaned up for a long time. My friend, who works in Korea, left souvenirs downstairs with the takeout, and they were stolen. They said they'd never lost anything in Korea before. The hotel claimed they didn't have permission to check the surveillance footage and suggested calling the police might be faster. The charger provided by the hotel broke as soon as I plugged it in.

The room was quite clean, and even with three beds, the space was still ample and didn't feel small. I really liked the separate toilet and bathroom. The semi-self-service check-in process was very convenient, and the location is excellent. It's just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, subway, and airport shuttle, making it super convenient. Highly recommend!

This was my second stay here, and I have to admit the location is convenient and transportation is easy. However, there are a few things I need to complain about: 1. The cleanliness is really poor. The duvet and pillows were dirty. It's peak season, and they don't even clean proactively. I had to insist for them to change the duvet! Unsurprisingly, just like my first stay, I broke out in pimples! 2. I booked a king-sized bed room, but are you sure it's big enough? The headboard and foot of the bed face walls, and the TV is at a 90-degree angle to the side! What's up with that? It's so hard to watch TV! This is just a blatant rip-off, cutting one normal room into two! 3. The restaurant staff are also bizarre. If you give me an extra voucher, does that mean I'm not allowed to eat an extra breakfast? What's the deal? The voucher I bought myself can't be used, and two people can only have two servings? Isn't the third voucher bought with my own money?

This hotel is my top choice whenever I visit Seoul, and it always meets my expectations in every way. My only minor disappointment this time was that during my consecutive stay, on the third day, the housekeeping didn't replenish the two bottles of water in the room. Also, the showerhead holder in the bathroom is showing its age. It's probably an inexpensive fix and should be repaired soon. Currently, the showerhead can't be fixed in place when it's spraying water, which was a bit inconvenient during my shower.

This is my second stay here, and it's genuinely convenient. After picking up my luggage at 11 PM, the airport shuttle takes about an hour to get here. There's a Twosome Place right downstairs, a Mega Coffee next to Mapo Station, and a 7-Eleven across the street. There are direct buses to Myeongdong from the bus stop (the subway requires transfers, which is a hassle). Plus, there are two Olive Young stores nearby. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next visit.

The room was very clean, and the location was quite good. There's an airport bus stop right downstairs, and across the street in Taohwadong, there are many restaurants, all of which are great. There's also an Olive Young and an E-Mart nearby. The self-check-in was convenient and quick. What I loved most was the free ice cups available in the lobby anytime.
