The exterior: amazing. The interior: hadn't been updated since the last renovation in the 1980s. Dinner in the restaurant was downright awful, tasteless, like how you can make even a white fish with spinach tasteless. The reception and waiter were super friendly; it's definitely not the staff's fault!

Advantages: The location is excellent, and the hotel's scenery on the mountain is definitely good. Disadvantages: - The waiter at the lobby came out sweating profusely to help us check in. Because the hotel is an old building and there is no central air conditioning, only a large fan to relieve the heat. I felt bad for her, but I didn't expect that I would be like her. , there was only one old-style window machine in the room that was turned on, as if it was not turned on, and the heat filled the room. I thought it would be good to open the window for ventilation, but I didn't expect that although there was a window screen, mosquitoes were flying everywhere, so I had to close the window, just like this in the stuffy room. Spent a long night there.

Liked the location and history. Unlike scheduled smores campfire for Wednesday and no staff around to hold the scheduled event. Unlike unfriendly attitude of Chef although food was excellent. 1st day we were offered cookies at check in and I asked in a light hearted manner "Are they fresh and warm from this morning?" The girl at desk asked the Chef who was standing nearby and he abruptly said " They were made today!" His face was very serious and unfriendly. We moved on. The next day my Wife saw the same Chef on a golf cart and when he passed by at close proximity, she waved and smiled and he did not return the gesture and kept driving by. Simple kindness goes a long way....We will return to the resort but probably eat off property.

The best thing about the property is the location. The rooms seems dated but do have character which we liked. The checkin process was good. The one thing that we had issue was the restaurant. They were severely understaffed and the servers forgot the orders.

I have a soft spot for antique hotels. The energy and architecture. The unique rooms and stories. Eagle Mountain is one of my favorites. And it’s priced well below what I would expect. Our stays here are always great, and it’s not just pet friendly, it’s pet welcoming. Can’t wait to come back.

While I gather that the place has some age to it but as a former hotel manager, the peeling paint and hair in the sinks and in walls left a lot to be desired. That’s a historic hotel and deserves to be treated better as do her guests.

I had a pleasant stay with my dogs. The hotel is older but clean, has friendly staff, great pet policy with no pet fees, great breakfast, a convenient location near Conway, beautiful views, and a peaceful atmosphere.

Historic old hotel with 100 foot porch, rocking chairs and tables on. It has been renovated good restaurant and bar golf course across the street. Had a wedding going on enjoyed our stay.
