I was prepared after reading various reviews, but it turned out to be a better hotel than I expected. I think it depends on the time of year, but I felt like I stayed there around the end of August, avoiding the Obon area, which would be crowded, so overall it didn't feel crowded and I had a comfortable time. In terms of service, I felt that there were few amenities and the explanations were simple and insufficient, but I was satisfied with the meals and activities. The rooms and facilities inside the hotel are undeniably old, but I think they are well kept. The room type is a Japanese-Western style room, which is spacious enough. There were some areas where the wallpaper was peeling off, but it wasn't that noticeable.
