As a big fan of Mandarin Oriental JKT, I decided to try Kempinski this time but it was apparently my mistake. Long story short, the room is very small and outdate designed, the shower did not work when I was trying to take it after my first checkin...And the most painful thing was that my leg got injured after 2 times crushing because of their extreme strange bedstead design (picture os attached). If Mandarin Oriental JKT is ranked 9/10, I will rank Kempinski at 3.5/10. The only positive thing is that my trip in JKT this time is relatively short, so I only had to stay for 3 nights...

Didn’t use much of the facilities as we were staying for the hyrox weekend, but the room was huge, location was great and the service was wonderful. However, the knob of the bath tub keeps falling off, and it was quite hard to toggle with it. I was also under the impression that the tub was facing the outside view, but it was not the case

*⭐ 1000/10 - Best Stay in Jakarta Ever* Just checked out from a Grand Deluxe room and I’m already planning to come back. *Location: 10/10* Literally attached to Grand Indonesia Mall + 3 min walk to Plaza Indonesia. Bundaran HI depan mata je. Midnight craving? Turun je shopping mall. Minibar complimentary soft drinks pulak tu 😂 Berbaloi upgrade. *Room: 10/10* Huge, clean, bathtub + separate shower. Aircond sejuk gila, katil empuk macam tido atas awan. View Bundaran HI malam cantik gila. *Service: 10/10* Staff super helpful & friendly. Check-in smooth, housekeeping refill air cepat. Rasa macam VIP dari mula sampai habis. *Facilities: 10/10* Rooftop pool with skyline view = chef’s kiss. Gym & spa pun tip top. 6 dining options so tak boring. *Overall*: Kalau nak rasa “Jakarta city center + luxury + mall 1 pintu je” datang sini. Kempinski memang cherry on the cake. Will 100% stay again.

I've stayed at this hotel several times before, and the quality has decreased by 80%. I used to be happy to recommend it. At night, I called reception numerous times to ask for a favor, and no one answered. I had to leave my room and go to reception. Also, the room maintenance is not in perfect condition; the bathroom door doesn't close properly, and I ended up having an accident and cutting my arm. Total disregard from the hotel. For the price you pay, there are the Grand Hyatt, Pullman, and Mandarin across the street, which I believe are much better than this hotel. I will not return to this place!

Great great location and service. Huge bathtub for the late night soak. Would recommend to stay here over and over again!

From check-in to the little interactions, the Kempinski team has never failed to serve with a smile. The room booked (Grand Deluxe) was spacious, overlooking the monument. Bathroom was an experience in itself. His and Ber sink, separate bath and toilet. Bathtub was also huge. The breakfast variety was vast and food tastes great! SPA on the 17th floor was also a great experience. Thank you for the hospitality. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent Location and Consistent Service I especially loved the location, with a seamless connection to Grand Indonesia. Despite the hotel’s age, cleanliness is top-notch—the bedsheets and pillow cases are pristine white. The hospitality is outstanding, and the staff are consistently polite and professional in their handling of guests. Thank you for the room upgrade and complimentary mini bar. My only suggestion for improvement is that some towels need to be replaced. Thanks again.

Mid range staff hotel service. Rooms need refurbishment. Toilet functions well. Easily attached to mall. Breakfast buffet the same not much variety on daily basis. Short stay is ok.
