What a lovely place! Set a 15 minute walk from the chateau and centre, where there are several restaurants and cafes to choose from. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms all appear to be unique, ours was a cave, fitted out to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. A particular mention for the comfiest of pillows and a warm swimming pool (which was unexpectedly open despite being out of season). Overall good value for money.

Very cozy rooms. Abundance of smiles and kindness. Loved the pool and overall amenities. Yummy breakfast. We truly recommend this place! Animal lovers welcome. This place will allow you to experiment a beautiful side of France. Will be back!

The hotel is quirky in a beautiful countryside setting with a lovely pool area. It is on the outskirts of of the village with a good 20 minutes walk to facilities and the chateau. The room was a cave, a good size and clean but felt a bit damp. They had lovely bed linen but unfortunately they neglected to put on a sheet. We slept on the mattress protector as it was too late to do anything about it when we realised the error. When we tried to explain the problem in the morning it was difficult to communicate as the staff had virtually no English and likewise with us for French. I know we were in France but they do advertise on an international website so a few basic words would be helpful.

Family-run business, with rooms partially digged into the rock - this place is unique, a nice and quiet hide-away in the busy Loire Valley - walking distance to a Château. A clean pool offers a welcome place to cool down after a warm day, with plenty of deck chairs. A little bit more expensive than one of the usual suspects in hotel chains, but this one is to remember!

Simplement génial. Les chambres troglodytes sont top. Très confortables et totalement atypiques. Grande piscine et excellent petit déj. Calme et romantisme absolu. Restaurants de qualité à 10 minutes à pied.

Hôtel très calme avec une dizaine de chambres troglodytes. 8 jours passés sous la roche. Expérience très belle avec une grande chambre et une douche à prendre sous la roche. Vraiment exceptionnel. Très grande gentillesse du couple propriétaire de l hôtel et très grande disponibilité de ces derniers. Petit déjeuner gargantuesque. Expérience à tenter absolument.

Bel hôtel de l'extérieur, avec plein de petits recoins, verdure, une jolie piscine, vraiment charmant mais plutôt déçus de notre chambre ( Manon ) certes spacieuse, propre et bonne literie mais sans beaucoup de charme pour avoir déjà une expérience dans un autre hôtel troglodyte ou le tuffeau est bien présent sans un espèce d'enduit sur les murs comme ici et plusieurs petits détails comme un miroir piqué mais pas très ancien pour être du mercure, des petits pots de plantes en plastique, une armoire et un mini frigo dans la salle d'eau qui ont bien vécu, des éclats de contre-plaqué sur le plan des lavabos, de la rouille autour des robinetteries, des WC tout blanc sans aucune décoration... bref rien de très séduisant et c'est vraiment dommage ! Sinon accueil agréable.
