Honestly, this hotel🏨 is perfect in every way except for the price. We stayed in a connecting suite, which is essentially two rooms connected by a living room. It was very convenient for a family. As connecting rooms are in the executive area, the stay included breakfast, afternoon tea, and a light dinner. If you don't need to entertain, having a light meal at the hotel is quite nice. The air conditioning in the hotel was incredibly strong, to the point where I got stomach cramps from being frozen for the last two days😭. In the evenings, the hotel has an old-fashioned 'senior' music hall, where 70-year-olds perform. The gentleman playing the piano looked very familiar to me, and later the staff said he had been on CCTV, haha! My parents loved listening to the old songs. The music hall has a minimum spend of around 400 RMB per person! The hotel also has an afternoon tea dance hall where many people dance ballroom, which is quite interesting. On the 9th floor, there's an outdoor bar with amazing views of the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl Tower at night. The hotel also has a museum detailing its history from its inception to the present day, which is quite fascinating. There are daily guided tours, which are pretty fun to listen to. My daughter and I even took a set of beautiful photos with the hotel's old pictures. I truly hope the Peace Hotel continues to thrive.

Outside, Nanjing Road is bustling, but as soon as you pass through the revolving doors, the hustle and bustle are shut out, instantly transporting you back to the sophisticated and cosmopolitan Old Shanghai. Standing by the bed in the room, gazing down at the lively street below, you become a tranquil observer amidst the vibrant scene. It's a hotel worth revisiting repeatedly to truly savor its charm.

The hotel's location and historical significance are undeniable. While some facilities might show their age slightly, the service and meticulous cleanliness elevate the experience to its fullest. The hotel's location makes it convenient for taxis, check-in and check-out at the front desk are quick, and the concierge service is excellent. The room's cleanliness is almost perfect, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. Responses to our inquiry emails were prompt, and every staff member we encountered during our stay was professional and polite. There's really nothing to fault; the service deserves full marks. The Peace Hotel is a microcosm of Shanghai: bustling, profound, and friendly – definitely worth a visit. Thank you to everyone we interacted with at the front desk, concierge, and housekeeping. You truly made our experience wonderful; to me, you are the most precious part of the Peace Hotel.

Checked into the Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai. For standard rooms, you check in on the first floor, but if you book a Fairmont Gold room, you can go straight to the 9th-floor executive lounge to check in, which is nice as you don't have to wait in line. The Gold Lounge afternoon tea was just so-so, and dinner was average; don't expect too much. The pool and gym are free for guests and were practically empty, which made for a really enjoyable experience. Breakfast was decent and satisfying. The minibar in the room charges 55 yuan for a can of Coke or a bottle of water... honestly, a can of Coke from the shop downstairs is only 3 yuan, isn't that a much better deal? The hotel's own historical museum was a pleasant surprise and worth a visit. Overall, it's an old-school hotel that really shines with its location and ambiance.

The room was incredibly spacious and well-equipped, with beautiful and luxurious decor. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The afternoon tea and dinner on the 9th floor were exquisite and delicious, and the breakfast on the 1st floor offered a rich variety of options. Highly recommended!

Staying at the Peace Hotel on Nanjing Road is a true delight. Stepping inside feels like entering a discreetly luxurious museum. The hotel package included tickets to the 'Tree of Life' exhibition on Mesoamerican civilizations at the Shanghai Museum, which was a fantastic bonus. The double dinner at the pastry shop was also very generous. The hotel's location right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street means you're perfectly situated to experience Shanghai's most beautiful and vibrant moments, from dusk to when the city lights come alive.

The staff provided excellent and warm service. Alexander, who assisted us, thoughtfully brought our luggage to the room and explained the functions and usage of everything inside. He also happened to drive us to our car when we checked out, completing a perfect full circle. The package included afternoon tea, and we enjoyed beer and snacks at the Huawu Pavilion on the 9th floor of the hotel from the afternoon until evening, which was very pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

Just stayed at The Londoner Macao, and honestly, the Peace Hotel shares a similar vibe and facilities, but it boasts a rich history and cultural heritage! My daughter didn't understand why I'd choose this place, especially after experiencing the Banyan Tree Zhuhai and The Londoner, which were both exquisite. It wasn't until the second day, after a guided tour explaining the Peace Hotel's history and culture, that she finally understood why I loved it so much! The service, facilities, location, and bedding were all impeccable. My only complaint was a foreign staff member scolding me for sitting on an antique chair. The signage wasn't clear, and my eyesight isn't the best! If only he had said 'please,' I wouldn't have even considered complaining! And the French cuisine at Cathay Room was severely overpriced, plus the terrace offered a mediocre photo spot.
