This hotel, converted from a farm guesthouse, has very basic facilities and I felt the cleanliness was just as mediocre. After sleeping there, I woke up with an intense itch all over my body, and I'm not sure if it was because of bed bugs that weren't properly dealt with... This was the biggest regret of our entire trip around Iceland.

Simple cottage with hot spring at the reception area. Kitchen was well equipped and managed to cook some food. However, heater in the room was not too strong. We were quite cold as the temperature dipped the night we were there. We managed to catch the aurora right from our room windows! That was only because the location was great and no light pollution around.

The people working for the place were kind and friendly. However the owner was insane. They keep reiceving the customers even though there was serious problem in the room 4, 5 and 6 where the floor heating was not working at all. You have to pay extra money to avoid the room 4, 5 and 6 otherwise just get the cold feet for the cold room.

This is an absolute gem.  As soon as you enter you feel as though you are coming home.  The room was cozy, and the bathroom was sparkling clean.  The views were spectacular from every window.  The breakfast that was included was amazing.  There was something to satisfy all tastes, from fresh bread, cold meats, skyr and cereal, eggs, sausage and bacon.  What a feast we enjoyed while sipping coffee and watching the horses through the window.  I only wish we had booked a longer stay!

The location is good for the northern lights and Landmannalaugar. The host was kind. However the room 4, 5 and 6 have a problem with heating. The floor never gets warm.
