Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

The room was spacious and very clean. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. We booked a room with a Gemini view, and the night view was absolutely beautiful.

I was upgraded to a room on the 27th floor, directly facing the Petronas Twin Towers, which offered a fantastic view. The room was very clean, and the breakfast spread was impressive. Check-in was quick, and they offered a luggage storage service, which was a thoughtful touch.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to KLCC, and there's a large park downstairs. The hotel provides a shuttle service to KLCC daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (very convenient). The bathroom design is great; it's very easy to wash children's hair as they can lie in the bathtub, and the water drains directly into the shower area, which is very thoughtful. The hotel breakfast is good, and they even have nasi lemak. After check-in, if they see children, they'll even set up a free extra bed, which is a very humane touch. I've never stayed at this hotel before, but I heard from a friend that it's a business hotel under the Shangri-La brand, which makes perfect sense. I'm very satisfied.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to the Petronas Twin Towers. They even have a small shuttle buggy to save you a short walk, and the drivers are all great. The rooms are clean and tidy. We were traveling with a child, and housekeeping came to make up the sofa bed with sheets, a duvet, and a pillow, which was perfectly adequate for the little one. Getting a taxi downstairs is super convenient. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but what they do have is quite tasty and well-presented. On the 33rd floor, the Skybar allows swimming until 7:00 PM, and there's a sign stating you need to be over 20 to use the bar area itself. If you're with kids and want to see the Twin Towers up close, there's a separate area nearby for photos. I remember coming to the Skybar with friends many years ago too.

First time in Malaysia, so staying near KLCC was a must! This hotel has rooms with KLCC views, and the twin room came with a separate single lounge chair, which was perfect for our family of three. It's really close to the three hottest malls: Pavilion, TRX, and Suria – you can easily walk to them if you're up for it! The hotel facilities were sufficient, and the cleaning was quite thorough every day!

The twin towers were clearly and fully visible from the room. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. We stayed in a Twin Tower Suite, which wasn't very spacious, but it did come with access to the executive lounge on the 32nd floor. However, we spent most of our time having breakfast on the 5th floor, as the variety there was much better. The 32nd-floor lounge didn't offer much in terms of food, though it did have the advantage of a twin tower view while dining [crying emoji]. The hotel is very close to KLCC, and there's a shuttle service available, which is very convenient. It's a bit further from Pavilion, about a 15-minute walk. Now, about the booking experience. The price I paid online already included tourism tax and service tax. However, when I checked in, the front desk told me they wouldn't charge a deposit but then asked me to pay the tourism tax. Luckily, I had printed out a bilingual version of my booking confirmation, which clearly showed that the hotel fees I'd already paid included the service tax. After that, the front desk asked for a 1000 MYR deposit, so I gave her ten 100-denomination cash notes. Then, at checkout, they tried to charge me service tax again! I had to pull out my booking confirmation once more. The front desk staff took a photo of it and then gave me twenty 50-denomination cash notes as a refund. Overall, the hotel's view is good, and the location is decent. The concierge on the 1st floor was helpful, but the rest of the service was just average.

The front desk staff were incredibly warm and always communicated with a smile, actively listening. Even though we spoke in English, they were very patient and spoke slowly for us to understand. The hotel room was very clean and spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling window view was absolutely stunning, offering a great shot of the Petronas Twin Towers not too far away – perfect for photos! It's also super close to the city center malls, just a ten-minute walk. Nice!

Great location, very convenient for getting around. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is attentive.
