Manoir du Stang

We enjoyed our one week stay. We were looking for a hotel near Benodet which was 20 mins drive away. So rather than select a typical chain hotel in Quimper which could be in any French/UK/European town or city, we looked around the Benodet area for a typically french hotel/chateau and found Manoir du Stang. The location was convenient for where we wanted to be. The manoir was full of character, with large grounds and a peaceful location. The owner and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and we had many conversations with the owner. The room (superior) was spacious, a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom (bath with shower) and plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. So if you are looking for a typical french hotel/chateau establishment, we can recommend Manoir du Stang.

Fine chateau with ponds and terraces where drinks were served. Good breakfast with excellent croissants. Beautiful lounge with pool table. Quiet rural setting very convenient for the coast, Concarneau and Quimper. No evening meals and very few local restaurants were open Monday night, but the Creperie in Foret-Fousenant was good although very busy.

We have been staying here for at least 11 years, so we must love it! The elegance of Jean-Baptiste [the chief[,the charm of Brondine, the wide smile and helpfulness of Armel and the hard-working ladies of the Manoir, all make it wonderful. A haven of trees, birds, greenery and wildlife, and you might even catch a glimpse of mr. Hubert senior,who is enjoying his retirement!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay at this incredible Manoir with lots of character and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The hotel was beautifully maintained, with a large, comfortable and spotless room that made us feel immediately at home. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The fantastic breakfast offered a delicious variety of fresh, high-quality options and was the perfect way to start each day. We especially appreciated the excellent attention from the host, who provided plenty of helpful local information and made us feel very well looked after throughout our stay. The excellent service and attention to detail throughout our visit made our three nights in France truly memorable, and we would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

Incredibly beautiful manoir. The Team here were welcoming, helpful & friendly. My en-suite room was spacious, charming & the huge bed was super comfortable. Gorgeous view of the grounds & lake from my windows. Breakfast superb, would highly recommend ✨
