I passed by this hotel ten years ago while traveling, and the scenery was breathtaking. I'd always hoped to stay there, and this year my dream finally came true. The entire hotel is situated on a hilltop, near its own brewery, farm, and bakery. They offer complimentary afternoon tea and cookies every afternoon, and each floor has common areas with puzzles and board games. There are also free movies in the evenings. This time, I booked a loft room on the top floor of the main building. The stairs made it inconvenient to carry large luggage, and the Wi-Fi signal was weak. Maybe I can go back in ten years and stay in the villa area.

We really loved this resort and its history. We met 2 other sets of friends and we were all very comfortable here. We loved the tours of sheep,cows, syrup making, family history, birds, brewery and more. Also the the variety of eating areas with the lounge, restaurant, coffee/bfast place and brewery and food there. Lots of family sitting areas and game rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small inconvenience was that the elevator was out twice in 2 days which was a big issue for our handicapped friend on a scooter. Thanks for the free coffee and tea and afternoon cookies… the raisin oatmeal cookies were the best I ever had!!! Hated to leave this peaceful place.

Beautiful views. I got a room because of a ultra marathon that started on the property. The room was spacious and clean. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful.

We truly enjoyed this beautiful hotel! It wasn’t crowded at all during our stay, so it was quiet and peaceful. We visited the bierhall a few times during our stay and enjoyed the trivia night. We watched the Sound of Music in the theater downstairs, of course! We will definitely be back again in the future!

Such a charming and beautiful lodge! We really enjoyed our stay here! Lots of activities onsite and some great food too! Highly recommend! Anya, at the front desk was super helpful and kind, too!

We really enjoy our stay!! The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff was great. We would highly recommend stay here and want to go back. Our waiter Ryan was the only disappointment, but the food was a 10 out of 10, excellent!!

The lodge is idyllic, the staff is excellent, and the grounds are immaculate. The resort is run with Austrian efficiency - so be on time for tours! Great hiking trails and abundant wildlife - we saw a Black Bear! Dining is very Austrian-themed - limited choices for vegetarians - and pricey, even for Stowe. The classic mountain lodge combined with the von Trapp legend make for a memorable vacation.

Everything was good but was disappointed in the staff at the front desk who just seemed to be phoning it in. No smiles, just going about their day. Expected a bigger welcome.
