Surfeel Hotel Wakkanai is one of the finest hotels in Wakkanai and an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and beautiful waterfront views.
I stayed for two nights in a Twin Room with Sea View, and the view was fantastic. The room overlooked the sea, offering clear views of the Ferry Terminal and the iconic Wakkanai North Breakwater Dome, creating a wonderful atmosphere both during the day and at night.
The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Everything was clean and well maintained, making for a very pleasant stay. What stood out most was the exceptional hospitality—every member of the staff was professional, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit.
The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations with an impressive variety of choices, including fresh bread, salads, Japanese and Chinese dishes, and even a surprising selection of sashimi. Being able to enjoy fresh scallops, salmon, tuna, and other seafood as part of breakfast was a memorable highlight and a great introduction to Hokkaido's renowned seafood culture.
The location is also highly convenient, within easy walking distance of JR Wakkanai Station, the Ferry Terminal, and several nearby restaurants and attractions.
Overall, this was an outstanding hotel experience. Comfortable rooms, excellent service, a superb breakfast, and a prime location make Surfeel Hotel Wakkanai an easy recommendation. I would happily stay here again on any future visit to Wakkanai.
