Extremely close to Plaça de Catalunya. You can even walk to Sagrada Familia if you wander through the old town. No need for a taxi to see the sights.

I booked this hotel because I was looking for one close to Plaça de Catalunya! It's in a great location for getting around, and the room was clean and nice! It seemed well soundproofed too, so I slept really well. There's a pool on the rooftop, but it looked like it wasn't operating in February. It would be great to visit in the summer, but even now, with the slightly chilly spring weather, it was wonderful! All the staff were friendly, which made it even better! If I ever come back to Spain, I'd love to stay here again.

The hotel location was great, near the metro and v walkable to the shopping district. Room was big and spacious (think we got the room for the wheel-bounded by chance). However, its cleanliness can be worked on as we found strays of hair on the bathroom wall and also a clump of dust on the hairdryer net. The bottled water as well as the tap water tasted a bit funny and felt slimy (you know the feeling you get when you have to wash your hands vigorously to get rid of that soapy feeling), but we googled and it’s probably just Barcelona’s water sewage system at it. The wifi was strong, and the water pressure of the shower was great. Note the hotel does not provide bathroom slippers though.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in downtown Barcelona, directly opposite Plaça de Catalunya. It's only a three-minute walk to the airport bus and the starting point for both the red and blue hop-on hop-off tourist buses. The hotel's public areas have a rather industrial design, while the rooms are more traditional. The service was great; we arrived in the morning, and since our room wasn't ready yet, we stored our luggage and went out. When we returned in the afternoon, our bags had already been placed in our room, and we even got upgraded to a suite with a courtyard and a bathtub!
