Queensland Hotel Bangkok

The hotel is super well located, the amenities, the room, and the staff are fantastic, as are the city views.

Do NOT choose this hotel. 1. The smell is strange and even perfume can't cover it up. You can imagine what kind of smell that implies. 2. The hygiene is worrying, and the service staff are completely inadequate. (From check-in day until check-out, it was always messy; upon arrival, we even found that the previous guest hadn't flushed the toilet and there was tissue everywhere. (Remember to zoom in on the pictures to see!!!) 3. I booked the hotel for 474 RMB, but the price of this hotel fluctuates wildly. It's only worth about 300 RMB, but the pricing is unreasonable. 4. Grab drivers will refuse to pick you up because it's close to an elevated highway and very congested. So, you usually rely on the BTS, but in Bangkok's heat, walking 15 minutes is quite a hassle. 5. The pool water is murky, and the edges are rusty or covered in moss due to poor cleaning... (Warning for gynecological issues...)

The room decor is very simple, without too many frills, but it feels very homey and comfortable. The only downside is the location, which is about a 10-minute walk to the subway station.

Towels in the room are changed every three days, not daily. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, but it's about a fifteen-minute walk to the BTS. The shuttle bus service requires advance booking and a ticket to board. The room type I was assigned was very small inside; it was hard to walk around with my suitcase open. The shower drain in the bathroom had issues, and the rooftop pool isn't very big, I suspect it's only 25 meters.

The hotel is new and modern, with a rooftop infinity pool offering amazing views of Bangkok. It has a pleasant, cozy atmosphere and clean, modern rooms (with amenities like a smart toilet, a good hairdryer similar to Dyson, Elemis toiletries, and excellent WiFi). Breakfasts are good, served in a restaurant with panoramic city views. The hotel's location is very convenient – just a six-minute walk from the Phaya Thai BTS station, which also has a stop for the airport link. It's only two stops to the very center of Bangkok. Nearby, there's a large Macro supermarket, which also houses a food court and coffee shops. Additionally, a big King Power duty-free store is just across the road.

The hotel staff were all very professional; they helped us with our luggage as soon as we got out of the car, and we didn't have to lift a finger until check-in. The front desk had a young lady who spoke fluent Chinese, and since there was a room available, she helped us check in early. As for the environment, it was very quiet, a stark contrast to the constant motorbike noise on the streets of Bangkok, which was great for someone like me who has trouble sleeping. The room card being a playing card (♠️) was a fun touch. As soon as we opened the door, we found the room to be spacious and very clean, making for a comfortable stay. The staff replenished amenities daily; I hadn't put my disposable duvet cover on properly, but the next day they had neatly arranged it for me and even folded my pajamas that I'd left lying around. We felt very secure and relaxed during our stay here. This hotel 'blind box' turned out to be excellent, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of our Bangkok trip. We even had withdrawal symptoms after arriving at our hotel in Chiang Mai – the contrast was just too striking! 🥹

The entire building is new and very clean. The lobby and restaurant are on the 20th floor, and there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs. The breakfast is excellent with a different menu every day. Great value for money, and a very comfortable stay.

A good hotel for a short stay. The breakfasts are good, buffet style, with a good coffee machine. Room cleaning every day.
