I arrived at the hotel at 3:00 PM, and like many guests, I really enjoy swimming when I travel. At 4:50 PM, I went into the pool, only to be immediately told by the lifeguard that, starting today, the pool closes at 5:00 PM. I politely asked if they could allow me just an extra 30 minutes, especially since the hotel never clearly announced or displayed the pool’s opening hours anywhere. Instead of handling the situation in a professional and respectful manner, they treated me as if I were in a courtroom, not a hotel. Honestly, the whole interaction was completely inappropriate, and it left me frustrated and disappointed.

Due to the situation we could not check in in this hotel. Therefore they made a reservation for us in the Leonard Plaza hotel. Same price same service. Perfect!!

Ive stayed in worse hotels, I simply don’t remember when…. 12 hours to answer my request for towels in the room. 8 hours to answer my request for toilet paper. 7 minutes for reception to answer the phone. The used plates on the dining room tables are almost never cleared, necessitating diners to remove plates continually. Not recommended - this place needs a serious management course in how to run a hotel properly 🤮

Hotel has a nice, superficial appearance, inside and out. Public spaces are nice. It is also an 8-minute walk to the Damascus Gate entrance to the old city. Good sized guest room, clean and comfortable. Nice amenities. Poor download WIFI and almost no upload at all. Hotel could use a good refresh- an older place that cosmetic changes do not cover up the poor maintenance and aging of the property. Few restaurants around the hotel but there is a cluster of them about 7 minutes away, including Cloves, Azka, and Grill House, all very good to excellent, and from upscale to neighborhood-type. One note: hotel filled with children yelling and screaming in their rooms, hallways, and public areas. For older adults, this is quite annoying. Parents did not attempt to control their children.
