Lamai Coconut Beach Resort

If you choose Lamai Beach Coconut Beach Resort I recommend choosing the beach front bungallow just like we did. The location worth it. So close to the beach and it has a private beach for the resort, surrounding with watersports. The view expectations was not 100% clear by the photos before reservation, and the watersports like jetskis and the yellow buoys around the private beach part could be a little bit disappointing if you look for a pure oceanview resort - and I have a feeling like they don’t want you to know about what is exactly waiting for the guests on that beach - but it also had advantages like no one stopped there randomly to swim, only the guests of the resort, and it still looked nice and great or even cool with some jetski around. The room was old, nothing fancy there, but you don’t want to be inside anyway. Chillin on the terrace is top, also the resort has its own sunbeds for the guests for free, with bar and restaurant with great food (skip pizza, anything else is good). Breakfast was colorful and taste good. Staff is friendly and helpful, room (and beach) cleaning everyday. Shops, restaurant and everything you need is just few steps away.

Depends what you are looking for in a beach resort of this price range. Pros: clean, air con powerful and cool, strong water pressure and water heats fast. Has an elevator to room for those not staying in chalets.direct access to beach. Pool is small but clean. Large balcony with drying rack I was also very impressed by the water proofing of the shower screen..Absolutely no water leaked out and there is no pooling of water outside the shower area Cons: dated furniture, faucet is corroded, amenities are very sad, (bring your own or buy from 711), no bedroom slippers, mattress is the luck of draw. I had a firm mattress but my friend's was sagging and too soft. Overall, great location, wear and tear and no frills room

The hotel has seen better days. Facilties are old but works. Expect basic and you're fine. My major gripe is that I paid for a seaview room but I was allocated a room on level 3 with seaview barley in sight blocked by trees and building. Unless you're assigned a room on level 4 (the highest), I think it's not worth paying a premium for seaview.

Where do even begin. I am begging you do not trust the reviews here. The hotel is so dirty and smelly. I had a moldy curtain, stained sheets and half broken bed. My friend stayed in the bungalow and it was so so slippery and he found a dead rat on the stairs. Luckily trip.com ended up assisting us to find a better accommodation. I was there for two nights and it was so so horrible 🤮🤮🤮. The only positive thing was the stuff is friendly and the location is so ideal.

No complaints and would definitely stay again. One comment, please improve the WiFi by the pool and bar areas

The view from the balcony was lovely. The location was central without being noisy. I found the bed to be awful. Two saggy mattresses with no firmness as old as anything. They managed to find me one firm one after 3 trips to reception (no working phones in the rooms). It must be the luck of the draw as others said how comfy the bed was!
