Fairfield by Marriott Seoul

The hotel is located right behind a train line, and it's incredibly noisy. I booked for three nights, but due to a change in plans, I contacted the hotel three days in advance to cancel one night. Neither my direct communication nor the platform's attempts were successful. When I arrived, I tried again to move my last night's stay from the 8th to the 9th, but again, it was denied. I ended up having to waste one night for two rooms. In short, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Facilities: The room was very clean and tidy, and the city view outside the window had a unique Korean charm ✨. I really enjoyed watching the railway below, with subways passing by and lovely yellow flowers – it was so beautiful ✨ (some reviews mentioned noise, and there is a bit, but the beautiful view makes it worth it 🤭; personally, it didn't affect my sleep). There's a CU convenience store right downstairs, where I bought some really cute fridge magnet souvenirs. It was also a great option for a late-night snack every day 😋. Plus, there's a Haidilao hotpot restaurant on the hotel's mezzanine level 🤣, perfect if you're not a fan of Korean food. Downstairs, there's also a bus stop with direct buses to Incheon Airport. Across the street from the hotel, you'll find 인생네컷 (Life Four Cuts photo booth), Olive Young, Mega Coffee, and a jewelry store with walls full of earrings, among others. Just across the road from the hotel entrance is a food street; every place looked so delicious as I walked by 😭. Unfortunately, I was traveling alone this time, and with most places serving BBQ and potato and pork bone soup, I didn't get to try them. Located in Yeouido, it's very convenient to get to Hangang Park and Hongdae. Other attractions aren't far by taxi either. The front desk lady even proactively helped me call a taxi, which I really appreciated!

The room was quite spacious, which is a great deal for this price in Seoul. Most importantly, the location is excellent. It's not as congested as Myeongdong, and right outside, there's a fantastic local food street. It's not one of those tourist traps; you'll see mostly locals eating there, and every place serves delicious food.
