Cameron Highlands Resort - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

We had high expectations for this iconic YTL property, but sadly it fell short. While the colonial charm and beautiful surroundings are undeniable, the overall experience didn’t match the premium price. Service was inconsistent throughout our stay. Some staff were warm and attentive, while others seemed indifferent, making the experience feel uneven. For a luxury hotel, we expected much more attention to detail. The property itself is elegant, but parts of it are showing their age and could benefit from refurbishment. Although the atmosphere is peaceful, it wasn’t enough to make up for the service shortcomings. Food also not to expectation .Nasi lemak , the rice is undercooked. Coffee is inconsistent . First Serve was good . Second pot was burnt . Their high tea, sandwiches we stale . Only admirable was their scone with clotted cream & strawberry jam were excellent . Overall, it wasn’t the memorable luxury escape we had hoped for. There are certainly positives, but considering the price, we left feeling disappointed rather than impressed.

Loved this hotel so much, truly gave me and my sister a weekend of peace, love and happiness. The hotel was very strategically located in Cameron Highlands, and it was next to the Japan street so that was super nice. Loved how cooling the room was, and the balcony was super super relaxing. As it was my birthday trip the hotel gave me free strawberries and chocolate cookies, which was such a delight and we really do love the hospitality given by ALL THE STAFFS. The hotel also has EV charging facilities which was really helpful and convenient. Overall I would return back to this hotel everytime I come to Cameron.

We had the most amazing stay at CHR. The room was beautiful, with a private balcony and great view of the golf course. The staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive to our needs. We also had a great meal at the hotpot restaurant, Gonbei, for a reasonable price with great service. Breakfast was delicious, with hot and cold options. Our waiter Hridoy for breakfast was very helpful and provided excellent service. The location was great, a short walk from the night market and close to the town also. Thank you!

The hotel is definitely the best in Cameron. You need to spend time staying in the room and relax, staff are welcoming and they remember your room while servicing you. Something added to my exp is that, they even gav my friend the surprise birthday wishes during breakfast time( we had birthday celebration dinner a day before this,the staff ask when’s the actual date and he remember it and giv a surprise when my friend ordered the pancake) added a candle and wishes on the plate. Impressive service. But the hotel should really upgrade their TV/in room entertainment, kinda boring if you solely rely on the tv show.

This was our 1st stay in the resort and it turned out to an interesting & awesome experience! We checked-in on 11th of March & checked-out on 13th of March. I booked a 2-single bed room but the hotel given us a king bed room at the upper floor. After talking to the front desk. I was told only king bed room was available. However, my wife didn't have a good night sleep as she was having light sleep, so easily waken-up due to noise & movement. The upper floor somehow was noisy due to the traffic outside the hotel. We have no choice but to feedback to the hotel manager on the 2nd day. The manager Ms Su was kind enough and upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite on the ground floor, with 2 single beds & a king bed. That made our 2nd night slept peacefully. Thanks Ms Su of her attentiveness. The morning breakfast was a ala carte menu of Malaysian & western cuisine. Not a fantastic food but the service given by the professional F&B staffs made the experience so pleasant! Sincere thanks to F&B supervisor Santhosh & staff Myint of their attentive service.

Allocated a non road facing room which is quiet. The breakfast scenery is good. Old English design, is believed they refreshed. Overall good stay.

Very nice hotel! The workers there provided me and my family good services, big thanks to receptionist-Chloe, and Hridoy for making it the best experience.
