The Beaufort Inn

Very attractive and well-maintained place to stay. Close to Beaufort activities and stores. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast. Cozy places for guests to gather and socialize.

The Beaufort Inn rises to the top so far, in Beaufort stays. We’ve stayed at the Rhett House and Cuthbert House. Different experiences in each. The grounds are immaculate, superior and expansive with a unique layout - offering room and cottage stays. Ample room for leisure and sitting outside. The main house is fine and clean, and where breakfast is served. Our C. cottage was immense and adorable with its own courtyard. The a/c worked wonderfully and it had all we needed except no Kleenex. Staff are helpful. The only differences in your experience here vs. the others is your B&B intricacies - for example… no wine and cheese hour; no table service for breakfast; no special treats in the room for you or your dog, no welcome drink. So your experience is less personalized. With that said, if you’re looking for an immaculate stay with off-street parking, with a light breakfast, and a super comfortable bed and plush white towels - also being walking distance to absolutely everything - this is your place.

The room was small and overpriced. The communal rooms were small and uninviting. And the breakfast was terrible. But the location was very good.

The breakfast was enough if you like what they have. Little biscuits were good with several choices of jam which was great. That bacon one day and maybe sausage the other. They always had a yogurt parfait section of a simple. Everybody seemed to eat at the same time so it was tough for them to keep up with demand, but it did feel like they put care into everything they did and made.

Wonderful historical family owned inn in center of town. Nicely appointed and decorated big room we stayed in. Friendly hospitality.

Not 4 star by a long shot. Dirty. Other people’s hair on bathroom walls, something wrong with building HVAC so loud required ear plugs to sleep. Room wasn’t serviced Saturday. Do not go to this hotel.

The shower had lots of mold and the floor was dirty! My friends room had filthy curtains, dust on all over baseboards and wall. You pay too much for this unkept Inn. They need to do a deep clean!! Cleanliness is everything! I would give 5 stars if they would clean the rooms!

Unfortunately this ended up being one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It was quite disappointing being that we were traveling for both my birthday and our engagement. And it’s not a cheap place either. The room was motel-level for a 4 star price. The room was absolutely filthy — layers of dust, mold, dirty floors. It was very clear that the housekeeping here only changes the bed sheets and doesn’t touch anything else. I ended up bringing it up to guest services and Collette was wonderful and immediately remedied the situation by upgrading us to a much better and cleaner room. (5 stars for the front desk staff) They charge a hefty fee of $90/night to bring our 2 small pups so we had an extra $180 charge for essentially nothing because the rooms are dirtier than anything a dog could ever possibly do. The property itself is adorable and in such a great location. I just wish they would actually clean their rooms properly. There’s a difference between old and just plain dirty.
