We had a wonderful stay at the hotel which has a amazing history reflected in its layout and furnishings. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and very accommodating with our small dog. Dinner and breakfast were both good and the overall value for money about right. One large disappointment was the bedroom. There was no tea or coffee laid on and not even a bottle of water was provided. We were in the middle of a heat wave and the bed was covered in a full winter thickness duvet. For just a few Euros, all of the above could and should have been laid on for guests, which would have raised my rating to 10/10.

This is a very special place in a beautiful location. The star of the show is the chateau itself, with all its charm, character and history. But the staff, good food, and the many different spaces for guests to relax, all add to the experience making it something very special indeed. Of course it helped that we stayed here during perfect weather, and could enjoy sitting and eating outdoors, the views, and a relaxing stroll around the village itself. Of course there is a small price to pay for such character, and you cannot expect modern lifts and to be able to drive up to the door. But these are also the things that make it charming - no cars on the forecourt, character staircases and even the chiming of the church bells. Relax and enjoy it all,

Totally last minute after getting caught out with rain on the motorbike , what a find , bit off the beaten track but well worth it , staff went above and beyond , absolutely amazing . The character of this place is second to none and the views to die for , not a lot going on in the local village but that appeals , looks like a popular wedding venue and you can see why , I’d highly recommend and definitely stay here again , I thought it was reasonably priced for what you get, medieval charm steeped in history .

What a treat staying in a castle. Rooms very spactious, bathroom was large. Dining room was amazing. Food was wonderful. Worth the experience.

The room was nice enough thought the bathroom was not quite clean, The gardens could be better cared for. This is a shame as it is a lovely building with great potential, the library breakfast room and especially the dining hall are marvelous. The staff are sparse, and the few that are around are overworked. Dinner was very disappointing, perhaps they should employ a chef that does not burn rice? I will not be returning.

We spent one night in this beautiful chateau hotel. We received a wonderul welcome where we were given an introduction to the history of the chateau which is incredibly beautiful architecturally and has lovely grounds and is perched high above the rolling surrounding countryside. Our room was very nice with shower and bath. The restaurant experience was unique and probably something we will always remember. The setting was a medieval hall and we were seated in front of the fire. The new chef is very good. My filet of veal with carrots cooked 3 ways was incredibly tender. The maitre d'hotel/waiter was charming and recommended a very good local wine. The little "taster" between courses were very nice. Our breakfast was copious and very good. There is really nothing to fault except ( and this is a very personal comment) the choice of music in the restaurant. Charles Trenet and Edith Piaf no doubt are popular with foreign tourists, but we would have prerred some 1920 jazz or some Gershwin...which would have been the music that Miss Skinner, the American, who saved this chateau would have no doubt enjoyed!

An exceptional historical place to stay! Wonderful chateau with great views and atmosphere. Large, comfortable, bedroom. Dinner rather disappointing with rather amateur service. Very good breakfast.

Wow what a lovely château, lovely superb setting Superb chateau, ok breakfast could have had a cooked option (like scrambled eggs), lovely location for the view and peacefulness. We had the tower room which was lovely, lush sitting outside looking at the views or at the chateau. Fine dining but im a bit fussy with my food.
