Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong

This hotel is quite adequate for a short stay. It is located in the same building as a dog shopping mall, which is a very endearing sight for dog lovers. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, along with a supermarket and a bakery offering a great selection of fruit and delicious pastries. The nearby waterfront is a nice spot from which to take a boat across to the other side, and the views in the evening are very scenic. The room is small—there's barely anywhere to unpack a suitcase—and the shower and toilet are also cramped. The bed is soft, and the view from the window is lovely. Another downside is probably the nearby market: it's crowded and noisy, and besides fruit, they sell meat and fish, so there is a distinct odor. There is a rooftop bar and pool, but since it's far from the room, we only went up to take a look.

The hotel has an excellent location with great surrounding infrastructure, including restaurants and shopping malls. The cleanliness is also meticulously maintained. However, bottled water in the room and 24/7 room service were lacking; otherwise, everything was great. The swimming pool and 24-hour gym were distinct added bonuses.

The hotel is truly wonderful. Given this location, paying just over a thousand is really great value for money. However, for the exact same room type, there was a difference of about 150 on other platforms, and the cancellation request process was extremely slow. The platform claimed to have contacted the hotel, while the hotel said to contact the platform—in reality, it was entirely the platform's fault. I'll definitely be comparing multiple platforms before booking in the future.

The hotel has a great location with an open view of the sea. The staff were very polite and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. However, the check-in process at the front desk was quite slow and definitely needs improvement. The facilities are very new, the bedding is great, the AC is strong for a very comfortable sleep, and overall the experience was fantastic!

Room number 2215 A fantastic experience and a hotel that is well-suited for a solo trip. From the doormen to the front desk, the service felt very pleasant and effortless. Because I arrived early, I didn't get to check in at the executive lounge. Definitely go for the sea view room without hesitation, and try to request a corner room if possible—it's very comfortable, and the harbor view is stunning. The lounge and breakfast were both quite good; the beef satay noodles were mind-blowingly delicious! The hotel gym and swimming pool are both very spacious, complete with locker rooms. The service staff were warm and patient, regardless of whether they were local Hong Kong staff or expatriates. I will probably stay at Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong again next time I visit. The email follow-up was also genuine and professional, and I look forward to seeing improvements on the shortcomings mentioned in the email.
