Shilla Stay Samsung COEX Center

The room wasn't huge, but it was decent. It seems like there's road construction nearby, which was quite noisy, so earplugs are a good idea. Getting to COEX requires a bit of a walk, but it's not too far. The hotel reception staff were very enthusiastic! However, the room lights were broken 😅

Overall, it was okay, but there were two downsides. First, my friend dropped me off for check-in and parked for less than half an hour, but they charged us for a full day of parking. Second, the shower door in the bathroom actually fell off, almost hitting and injuring us, which was very dangerous. Although they sent someone to fix it later, it impacted our time and rest. The location is great though, you can walk to various shopping malls and the subway, including COEX and Hyundai Department Store.

The price was quite high for a weekend, and there was road construction nearby, but the surrounding fences kept things safe and clean, so it wasn't really an issue. The road itself is very wide, so crossing to the mall on the other side takes about 7-8 minutes due to traffic light waits. Public transport is convenient, though it's a 5-7 minute walk from the metro station. The hotel's car service was good, with smooth communication. My main concern is that it didn't quite feel up to a 4-star standard. Regarding the library in the mall across the street, I recommend going first thing in the morning for better photos; there isn't much else to do there afterward. Shopping in the mall is pretty average, and most restaurants stop accepting visitors after 8:30 PM, as they close quite early. If you want to go to the mall across the street, exit the hotel, turn right, cross at the first traffic light, and walk straight. The Starfield Library entrance is right next to the Intercontinental Hotel.
